  3.                            The Silver Screen

  5.  Thank You for trying The Silver Screen Demo. The Silver Screen is a game 
  6. of movie company management. The object of the game is to win as many awards
  7. as possible from the movies you make. You compete against seven other
  8. companies. You can have up to seven human players on one computer,their will
  9. allways be eight companies(if you play by yourself then the computer will
  10. run the other seven companies and so on).

  13. Once you enter your name the game ramdomly picks a company for you to manage.
  14. Each company starts with 50 million dollors, now start making movies.
  15.  
  16.     ***GAME PLAY***
  17.    "Company Screen" (has your company name at left top)
  18.     This is the most widely used screen in the game.
  19.  
  20.  a."Turns-Year" indictor located on company screen top right
  21.      A turn represents about two weeks,a year represents 25 turns. At the end
  22.      of 25 turns awards night takes place.
  23.  
  24.  b."Money " indicator located on company screen under "turns-Year". 
  25.      This shows the amount money left for you to use.
  26.  
  27.  c."Studio Tabs" indicator located on company screen under your company name.
  28.      Each company has five studios to make movies in. The nubered tabs allow
  29.      you to view each studio. 
  30.      At the bottom of each studio tab there are four indicators(1."Turns left"
  31.      tells when film willl be finished,2."Prop value" tells prop value,
  32.      3."Stunt value" tells stunt value, 4."Production Cost" tell how much
  33.      movie cost to make.)  
  34.  d."Public Interest" chart allows player to view public's interest in movies.
  35.      The higher the interest the better chance of an award winning movie.

  37.  e."Bank" button located right of "public interest" chart.
  38.      Allows player to borrow money at random rate from 1% to 10%.
  39.      Bank interest rate go up and down, Players will be notified via 
  40.      a message box during play if rates have changed.

  42.  f."History" button located right of "Bank" button.
  43.      Allows player to look at movies made that year(all companies)
  44.  
  45.  g."Phone" button located above "Bank" button.
  46.      1.Allows player to Buy actors\actresses. 
  47.        Actors rated from 1 to 10 for each movie, pick best for movie type
  48.        your making. Must own script to buy Actors\Actresses.
  49.      2.Allows player to buy Directors.
  50.        Directors rated from 1 to 10 for each movie, pick best for movie type
  51.        your making. **Also directors must be bought for each movie before
  52.        movie production starts.
  53.      3.Allows player to buy movie scripts.
  54.        Scripts should be bought based on "Public Interest" chart.
  55.        **Scripts must be bought before you can buy Actors\Actresses,director
  56.      4.Allows player to buy advertising.
  57.        When movie is near completion advertising can boost "Public Interest"
  58.        Must own script to advertise.
  59.      ***Buying anything on the phone will end your turn.

  61.  h."Music" button located to right of "Phone" button.
  62.      Allows player to turn off or on games music.

  64.  i."Files" button located above "Music" button.
  65.      Allows player to Quit,Save or,Load a game.

  67.  j."Props" button located above "Phone" button.
  68.      **Dosen't show up every turn. Shows up at random.
  69.      Helps movie "special effects" Must own script to buy props.

  75.  l. "Awards Night" This happens at the end of the year(25 turns).
  76.      Awards are given out for 1.Best Picture, 2.Best Actor\Actress,
  77.      3.Best supporting Actor\Actress, 4.Best Director, 5.Best Special Effects
  78.     If you win any award then it will be added to your "company Screen" in
  79.     the "Awards Won" box located under your name.

  81.    ***After the awards Money will be given out for each movie made that year.
  82.      An award will increase your money by 10 million
