  4. Congratulations ! You now have on you computer a nice action/puzzle game in its
  5. full version. Enjoy it all you can, it's not a limited version: there are 50
  6. levels to play in the regular game and an infinity with the random mode !
  7. You also can freely distribute it. It should work on DOS and Windows 95, with
  8. at least a 486.

  10. But this game is not freeware, it is "what-you-want-ware"... That means that
  11. if you really like it and play it (and/or you're really cool people !),
  12. you have to send us some funny and/or pleasant things: ex. some chocolate, an
  13. unusual object, even a postcard if you're really out of ideas. If you do so and
  14. enclose an envelope with international stamp and your adress or an Email we will
  15. send you the level editor, that will let you design your own additional levels !

  38. The game
  39. --------

  41. Running: type "fsalad" from the appropriate directory or d-click on the icon.
  42.  
  43. The goal of the game is to remove all the fruits from all levels. A level
  44. is composed of fruits at the top of the screen, and others attached to them.
  45. You must remove all of them in order to go to the next level. You control 
  46. some kind of strange shooting device that lets you shoot additional fruits
  47. on the others. Your fruits rebond on the left and right border, and that can
  48. help you shoot them in a difficult area. The fruit you'll be shooting does
  49. appear on your device, and the next one just on its right side.

  51. When at least three fruits of the same kind are in contact,
  52. they explose (strange eh ?!) and disappear. At the same time, the fruits that were attached
  53. to the ones that exploded fall. A level is finished when there are no
  54. fruits left (except for the black ones, that cannot be destroyed). The fruits
  55. that fall give you more points than the ones that explode, so do it as often
  56. as you can - and it's good to finish the levels too. Depending on the level
  57. and on how far you are, the "ceiling" will go down slowly or faster. When a
  58. fruit enters the zone of your device you have lost.

  60. There are some strange black and white fruits that are "magic" fruits. If you
  61. shoot a fruit on it, all the fruits of that kind will explose. The effect 
  62. will be the same if you shoot one of those "magic" fruits on a "normal" one.
  63. At the start of a game, you have three "magic" fruits that you can shoot with
  64. the "Ctrl" key. You'll soon understand that those ones are really precious, so
  65. use them wisely !

  67. Some numbers may appear on the fruits. If you make those fruits explode, you
  68. receive extra points. Some '?' may appear too. In that case a special event
  69. occurs. It can be good or bad... Watch the FX indicator and listen to the sound to
  70. determine it. There are a bit more "good" events than "bad" ones, so it can be
  71. a good idea to shoot those '?'. Ex: add points, remove points, add magic fruit,
  72. go to next level, mix all the fruits (The Fruit Salad Event) etc.

  77. 'Space' to shoot a normal fruit.
  78. 'Control' to shoot a magic fruit.
