- INTRODUCTION
-
- The october wind blew through the barren trees stirring long tan grass. The
- sun hung heavy in the cloudy sky, and long shadows were cast amidst the
- huge forest in the land of Tilorm. For Twenty three years you, Rolan,
- a male fox from the outer edge of the Remal Forest, have walked on this world.
- You long since left the comfort and security of your parents, and now
- walk the forests looking for fun, excitement, and cheap alcoholic
- refreshments. And today is like every other day. After doing a few
- "favors" for the widow Eir Merghot, you have some extra spending money.
- The fact that its Hallows Eve does not effect you. Ever since you
- were a young fox, your elders have told you to be wary of this day, for
- the souls of the damned are close to this dimension, this is the day
- of the unholy Convergence, a Convergence most dark.
-
- A get together with some of your friends as dusk approaches seems to be a
- fine thing to do. You go to Yellag's, your uncle runs the store filled with
- fine spirits, and brews of all kinds. Your uncle puts a heavy arm around your
- shoulders and squeezes you to him, he seems oddly affectionate, but he
- always gets that way around dusk. (the drinks start to cloud his mind)
- You and your friends buy some Strawberry and Tangerine Wine, 45 proof.
- And then some of your favorite orange ale, a good think brew, sure to
- knock down the strongest constitution. One of your friends buys some of the
- extremely potent licourice rum, black and syrupy, it has been known to
- temporary blind some. Back to the house you and your friends go, and
- the bottles come open. Some bread and cheese are passed around along with
- the booze. As the dark swallows up the land, you lay down on the floor of
- the hut, the alcohol dulling your furry body. Your friends hug and laugh,
- bump into the walls of the abode, and talk very loudly. One of your
- friends seems to be talking to you very closely about how birds talk
- to him when he sleeps, and why do flowers seem to watch him when he walks
- through the forest, he always seems to nuzzle your shoulder alot with
- his nose.
-
- The house begins to spin ever so slowly, the people in the room move as
- if they were underwater. The candles flicker oddly, and you decide to
- leave as your bowels order. You stumble outside into the darkness, you
- can still hear the laughter from inside the house. You walk into the
- forest, your head spinning...Was that howling in the night, or just the
- wind. Are those eyes looking at you from the trees, or are your eyes
- playing tricks. Walking and walking, with no direction, using the trees
- for support you wander...
-
- Darkness.
-
- You wake slowly, your head aches, your body in pain. And somebody is yelling
- at you. Grass covers your head, and you realize you are lying face down
- on the now cold ground. That yelling again, it gets louder and more
- desperate. You look up, your eyes slowly begin to focus, and accomodate
- for the darkness. A human approaches you, ragged and torn he stares at
- you wildly, motioning with his arms, which are coated in blood.
-
- "You've got to find help, get up! They are coming for me, if you don't
- find help we are all dead, don't you understand! I...I can't go on.
- <cough> Achh, they there evil"
-
- The torn man, with long rips in his clothes and flesh falls to the ground,
- as you stand shakily up. He hold his head as he lays down. Tears run
- down his face, and he spit blood while he talks.
-
- "I can't believe they are going to try and do it, don't you understand
- they are trying to raise it, the Demon, my great grandfather told me
- stories, horrible stories, uchh. Achh. Of what it did, it was aweful,
- the forest overrun with corpses, the cult began, what they did...even
- to children. THE DEMON, they want to raise THE DEMON from THE ABBEY"
-
- Your body grows cold with the realization of what he is talking about.
- Many, many, many, years ago a wicked and warped mage opened up a gate
- between our world and the demonic world of the Abyss. A demon entered,
- which the mage lost control of and died...He was one of the lucky ones.
- The demon killed all it saw, and summoned other lesser demons from the
- abyss onto our world. Whole forests were burned down, cities were
- destroyed, many people and creatures were driven to extinction.
- The Demon was name as the Yaxagiraw. His name still draws horror to
- those that remember.
-
- A group of Powerful mages vowed to right the evil mages wrong. They
- and 100 warriors, 85 who lost their life in the quest, tracked down
- the demon and subdued it, with magic and forces forgotten today.
- They put the demon in a Holy Religious Abbey, where monks had spent
- their lifes preparing for the greater good of the ulimate one. The demon
- was put into the abbey's basement, sealed with magic, and forgotten.
-
- Until now.
-
- The man grew silent. He breath stopped. He lay relaxed as the night
- took him. Rolan stood up, and looked around, you began your quest to
- stop the evil ceremony that is trying to open up that seal and release
- the demon. But your quest is long and you have so little time.
