  20.  **a. How to Play SubZero**

  23.         SUBZERO is a two-player strategy game where each
  24.         player tries to capture the most board squares by
  25.         "trapping" the other player's pieces. If a player's
  26.         submarines are between two of the opponent's, those
  27.         subs explode and the opponent's subs replace or
  28.         capture the squares.
  29.  
  30.         Each game begins with two player and two opponent
  31.         submarines at the center of the board. Play begins
  32.         by clicking on a square that traps an opposing sub
  33.         between two of your subs.
  34.  
  35.         The game ends when no valid moves can be made, and
  36.         the winner is the player with the highest score.
  37.         The all-time high score is saved, and can be reset
  38.         at any time.
  39.  
  40.         The goal of the game is to capture as many squares
  41.         as possible while avoiding placing your subs
  42.         between two of your opponent's subs.

  44.         The registered version offers three levels of game
  45.         play, Novice, Medium, and Advanced.

  50.         To run SubZero, you'll need the following system:

  52.                 An IBM-compatible, 386 or better computer
  53.                 Two Megabytes of RAM
  54.                 A VGA monitor
  55.                 Windows 3.1, or Windows 95
  56.                 Hard Disk with two Megabytes free
  57.                 Mouse

  59.         You'll have more fun with these recommended additions:

  61.                 Pentium processor
  62.                 Four Megabytes of RAM

  67.         1. To get started with SubZero on a hard disk:
  68.                 a. Insert the SubZero disk in your
  69.                         floppy disk drive ('A', or 'B')
  70.                 b. From Windows 'run' A:\setup or B:\setup" and press
  71.                         Enter.
  72.                 c. Follow the screen directions.

  77.         To start the game, double click on the SubZero
  78.         icon in Windows.

  83.         If you have a problem, chances are you can fix it without
  84.         needing to get help. Try the following:

  86.         If the game says you have insufficient memory, or if it crashes,
  87.         try rebooting without loading any TSR programs, such as your
  88.         disk cache.

  90.         If the screen is to dark to see, try turning up the brightness
  91.         on your monitor.
  92.
