  4. Almost all the word lists in this SCRABLST package were *automatically* 
  5. generated using utilities in the WORDY shareware package by the same author. 
  6. Yes, this is an advertisement of sorts for WORDY. For a $2.00 registration 
  7. (plus shipping and handling if you order a disk directly from the author), 
  8. WORDY puts in your hands a complete set of pattern matching, word list 
  9. generating and reformatting utilities, as well as a fun word game to 
  10. practice and exercise Scrabble (tm) playing skills (also useful for other 
  11. word games and crossword puzzle solving). Best of all, WORDY contains at its 
  12. core an all-inclusive list of more than 100,000 words compatible with the 
  13. new ***3rd edition*** of the OSPD (tm). The author has released this word 
  14. list into the Public Domain as a "present" to the Scrabble (tm) community. 
  15. Registered WORDY users now receive as a bonus an additional list of 171,000+ 
  16. words over 8 letters long (the WORDY utilities also work with this list). It 
  17. is easy to generate word lists to your specifications and do various flavors 
  18. of anagramming with the WORDY utilities. No serious Scrabble (tm) player 
  19. should be without WORDY. For programmers and bit fiddlers, the WORDY package 
  20. even contains the complete source code, in C, of all the utilities. The 
  21. latest version of WORDY even contains a menu-driven user interface.

  211. The December 1995 issue of PC COMPUTING (page 365) gave WORDY a five-star 
  212. rating (the highest).

  214. WORDY (and other shareware / freeware by the author) is available for 
  215. download on many local and national BBS's and on on-line services, on some 
  216. ftp sites on the Internet, from some disk vendors, and on some CD ROM 
  217. shareware compilations. It is also available for direct download from the 
  218. author's Web site, see below. If you are unable to locate it, you may order 
  219. it directly from the author on 3.5" diskette for the (modest) $2.00 
  220. registration + $1.50 shipping & handling. (You can even save yourself the 
  221. $1.50 shipping / handling charge if you enclose a stamped, self-addressed 
  222. disk mailer with a blank 3.5" HD diskette. You will receive in return not 
  223. only the latest OSPD3-compatible version of WORDY (as of this date 4.50), 
  224. but in addition a list of 171,000+ words over 8 letters in length and also a 
  225. selection of the author's other interesting software, including a software
