  39. Running the Program
  40. ===================

  42. The manual describes how to install and run the program. Briefly - the
  43. overlay file (WF.OVR) must be in the default directory unless you have
  44. installed the home directory:
  45.  
  46.     1. Make the Word Fugue directory the default directory
  47.     2. Run Word Fugue by typing in WF
  48.     3. Install the home directory by F10 O G H to display the
  49.        default directory. Press ENTER to record it, followed by ESC to
  50.        return to the options menu, S to save the defaults, and then
  51.        press ESC 3 times to exit the pulldown menus and return to text
  52.        entry mode

  54. These instructions may seem long winded, but they are operating a
  55. pulldown menu, and will be intuitively obvious when you try it.

  57. To read the manual, simply load the files WF.001 to WF.018 into Word
  58. Fugue and browse them. They will also show you how to set up a large
  59. document consisting of several chapters, how to use ruler lines and
  60. formatting and so on. If you need to print the manual, make sure you
  61. have plenty of paper in your printer, load WF.DOC into Word Fugue,
  62. press Ctrl K P to activate the print manual, select an appropriate PDF
  63. file (Which printer will show you a list to choose from), and press P
  64. to commence printing.

  67. Registering
  68. ===========

  70. The program is distributed as shareware, which means that unless you
  71. have paid a registration fee of $65 (Australia Dollars), you are
  72. merely trying it to see if you like it. Registered users receive the
  73. latest version of the program, as well as a printed and bound 190 page
  74. manual that describes features more fully. The manual is organized by
  75. subject matter, making it easy for the user to find what they need.

  78. In addition, if you register, you receive news of updates, you get to
  79. pester me with questions and request new features. Our policy on
  80. updates is that they are available at a reduced price (basically to
  81. cover costs), although users who suggest changes (or find bugs)
  82. receive a free update.
