  1. ZGEN v1.60 is an file and archive management program for MS-DOS
  2. based systems. Currently, ZGEN supports .ZIP, .LZH, .ARC .PAK
  3. .SDN and .ARJ archives. ZGEN features a no-nonsense directory
  4. display and subdirectory tree display.  ZGEN also supports a
  5. mouse.

  7. ZGEN requires at least MS-DOS 3.0, A listing program, such as
  8. LIST.COM, PKZIP.EXE/PKUNZIP.EXE for .ZIP archive management,
  9. LHA for .LZH archive management, PAK for .ARC and .PAK archive
  10. management, and ARJ for .ARJ archive management

  15. o View text file with an external file viewer.
  16. o View text files within archives.
  17. o Copy files.
  18. o Extract files from archives.
  19. o Delete files.
  20. o Delete files from archives.

  23. o Print files with optional support for MS-DOS' PRINT.COM
  24. o Edit PRINT.COM's file queue.
  25. o Edit archive file description.
  26. o Edit file description using 4DOS compatible descript.ion

  28. o Alter file attributes.
  29. o Execute programs and run batch files while ZGEN swaps to
  30.   EMS, XMS or disk.
  31. o Execute a program for a file based on file extension.
  32. o Create or edit disk volume labels.

  34. o Sink entire directories.
  35. o Copy entire directories including lower subdirectories like
  36.   XCOPY.
