***** BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This program was designed to be an intelligent front end
for McAfee's VIRUSCAN SCAN, CLEAN and VALIDATE programs. One
of the main objectives in writing this program was to reduce
the amount of user input required each time a file is scanned,
cleaned or paced through the validate functions. The report
function of SCAN and CLEAN was enhanced by appending critical
information to the report file. The SCAN/CLEAN program switches
have been made visible and can be set through an easy to use
interface. This version of THE VIRUS TERMINUS(c) is a full
working copy. Please register your copy so that you may receive
the latest version and be eligible for future update. Bolster
the SHAREWARE CONCEPT by sending the required fee and information
requested on the registration form which is found at the end of
this document or run REGISTER.EXE to get a printed form.
***** INSTALL THE VIRUS TERMINUS(c):
THE VIRUS TERMINUS(c) operates most efficiently when
used in conjunction with a hard drive. You may also use
this program with 1 floppy drive when your hard drive is
infected.
McAfee Associates files needed are : SCAN.EXE; CLEAN.EXE;
VALIDATE.COM; VIRLIST.TXT
VIRUS TERMINUS files : VTECHELP.EXE; VTECDPF.EXE;
VTEC20.EXE; VCLEAN.LST; MAKELIST.EXE
MS/PC DOS files needed : COMMAND.COM
- PAGE 4 -
--------------------------------------------------------------
HARD DRIVE: 1. Create one subdirectory for SCAN,CLEAN,
VALIDATE and THE VIRUS TERMINUS.
2. Copy McAfee Associates FILES and VIRUS
TERMINUS files to the subdirectory.
* 3. Run VTEC20.EXE either directly or from
your shell, then press F5 to configure.
Then select #5 from the main menu to create
VCLEAN.LST
------------------------------------------------------------
FLOPPY : 1. Format a blank data disk.
2. Copy McAfee Associates and VIRUS TERMINUS
files to the disk. Copy your shell or
file utility to the disk if there's room.
(If your disk is 360K you may have to leave
off your shell and possibly one TERMINUS
file, VTECHELP.EXE, also so that you can
complete the next step.)
3. Copy COMMAND.COM to the disk.
* 4. Run VTEC20.EXE, then press F5 to configure.
* Start your machine up (BOOT) from a clean non-infected floppy DOS
disk if your system is infected. Disinfect and then run the VIRUS
TERMINUS from your hard disk.(WRITE PROTECT THE FLOPPY!!!)
NOTE: When using one floppy disk, operations may be limited by
the lack of free disk space. A hard drive is recommended.
However, there are times when running from a floppy is
unavoidable.(when your system is infected!) Follow these
instructions for best results.
***** A QUICK INSTALL FOR SYSTEMS ALREADY INFECTED *****
1. Turn your system on and BOOT from a known non-infected DOS
disk.(Place the DOS system disk in drive #A)
2. Format a blank disk using the DOS format command. Use the
FORMAT.COM file found on your non-infected DOS disk. Avoid
accessing or using any files and utilities found on your
hard disk(assuming you have one). Format the highest capacity
floppy your BOOT drive will allow. A 360K floppy drive WILL
have sufficient room for the necessary VIRUS TERMINUS and
- PAGE 5 -
McAfee Associates files. A higher capacity floppy will be
needed if you expect to run a DOS shell from TERMINUS or if
you wish to use the DOS BATCH file execute function found in
the advanced function sub-menu of TERMINUS.
3. Follow these guidelines for the drive specification that
you are using:(capacity refers to BOOT drive)
360K : A. Copy SCAN.EXE, CLEAN.EXE and VALIDATE.COM
to the newly formatted disk.
B. Copy VTEC20.EXE, VTECDPF.EXE, VCLEAN.LST
to the newly formatted disk.(NOTE: This
doesn't include VTECHELP.EXE so that there
will be sufficient room for multiple SCAN/
CLEAN report generations, etc. HELP can be
found in the file VTEC.DOC if needed!)
D. Copy COMMAND.COM to the newly formatted disk.
(This will enable the use of BATCH files in the
advanced function menu.) Make sure there is
10K BYTES or more space left over if you intend
on generating multiple SCAN/CLEAN reports. You
will not be able to use the BATCH FILE execute
function of the advanced function sub-menu if
you can't fit COMMAND.COM on this disk. As the
name suggests, it is an advanced feature and is
not needed for normal operations.
E. WRITE PROTECT THE DISK!!!
F. Place this disk in the BOOT drive(#A) and type
each of the following lines pressing <ENTER>
after each:
A:
VTEC20.EXE
G. Press F5 as soon as you are in the main menu
and configure VIRUS TERMINUS.
___________________________________________________
1.2 MEG
720K
1.44 MEG
etc. : A. Copy SCAN.EXE, CLEAN.EXE and VALIDATE.COM
to the newly formatted disk.
B. Copy VTEC20.EXE, VTECDPF.EXE, VTECHELP.EXE,
and VCLEAN.LST to the newly formatted disk.
C. Copy COMMAND.COM to the newly formatted disk.
(This will enable the use of BATCH files in the
advanced function menu.)
- PAGE 6 -
D. Copy your DOS shell or file utility to the
newly formatted disk, but leave 10k or more
space on your disk if you intend on generating
multiple SCAN/CLEAN reports.
E. WRITE PROTECT THE DISK!!!
F. Place this disk in the BOOT drive(#A) and type
each of the following lines pressing <ENTER>
after each:
A:
VTEC20.EXE
G. Press F5 as soon as you are in the main menu
and configure VIRUS TERMINUS.
4. Troubleshooting a system that has only one floppy drive(360K)
is not an ideal situation in any sense of the word. Keeping
ALL files on one disk is not a necessity if you have dual
floppys and the drive you wish to SCAN, CLEAN or perform
VALIDATE functions on is a third drive, namely a hard disk.
Follow these installation instructions if this is the case:
(360K) A. Re-start your computer and BOOT off a non-
infected DOS SYSTEM DISK.
B. Format TWO blank floppy disks.
C. Copy to the FIRST disk the following files:
VTEC20.EXE, VTECDPF.EXE, VTECHELP.EXE, and
VCLEAN.LST, COMMAND.COM
D. Copy to the SECOND disk the following files:
SCAN.EXE, CLEAN.EXE and VALIDATE.COM
E. WRITE PROTECT THE DISKS!!!
F. Place the FIRST disk in the BOOT drive(#A)
and the second disk in drive #B.
G. Type each of the following lines and press
<ENTER> after each:
A:
VTEC20.EXE
H. Press F5 as soon as you are in the main menu.
Change the first default, SCAN/CLEAN PRG. DIR:,
to B: and you're ready to go.
- PAGE 7 -
SUGGESTION: If your system is not infected it would be wise to make
up a disk like one of those previously described so that
if ever the need arises you will be prepared to meet any
virus infection threat without delay and inconvenience.
***** CONFIGURE THE VIRUS TERMINUS:
THE VIRUS TERMINUS(c) may be configured from the main
program menu or any sub-menu while the program is running. It
is highly recommended that you configure your paths and
parameters when running the program for the first time. DON'T
RUN THE VIRUS TERMINUS FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE IF THE DRIVE IS
INFECTED. Use the floppy installation and disinfect your drive
first - then install and run from your hard drive. Above all,
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS THAT CAME WITH SCAN or CLEAN. Here is an
explanation of the program default parameters:
SCAN/CLEAN PROGRAM DIR: Directory where SCAN, CLEAN, VALIDATE
and VIRUS TERMINUS files are kept. If
you are using a floppy installation, set
this parameter to A:\ or B:\
SCAN/CLEAN FILES(S) DIR: Directory where SCAN/CLEAN/VALIDATE
operations will be performed. It might be
your upload/download directory or any
other path you wish.
SCAN/CLEAN DRIVE PATH: Designates which floppy/HARD drive will
be scanned, cleaned or become the the
target of validation operations.
DOS SHELL PATH & FILE: This parameter will describe where the
DOS Shell will be located and the name
of the shell program. If you use PCTOOLS,
XTREE, or any other hard drive / file
manager just enter the directory and name
name of the program that must be executed
to make your shell work. You may even use
DOS COMMAND.COM if no shell is available
or you are working from a floppy with
limited space available. When you press
<F3> the program control will go to the
file you specify.
- PAGE 8 -
SCAN/CLEAN OVERLAY EXT: You may enter a maximum of 3 file extensions
which SCAN/CLEAN might not ordinarily check.
Use the format: .XXX .XXX .XXX If you need
more than 3, set the /A switch to on and ALL
files will be processed.
EXP.VIRUS DAT.FILESPEC: Path and filename for the experimental data
to be used with SCAN. Please read the DOCS
that came with SCAN. USE WITH CAUTION!**
EXP. VIRUS DATA ON/OFF: Set this switch to 'ON' and the experimental
virus data file will be used by SCAN.*
FRENCH MESSAGES ON/OFF: Initial setting of the /fr switch. This switch
turns on/off SCAN/CLEAN French messages.
SCAN -LZEXE- ON/OFF: Initial setting of the /NLZ switch each time
the program is run.*
SCAN -MEMORY- ON/OFF: Initial setting of the /M switch each time
the program is run.*
ADD OVERLAY EXT ON/OFF: Initial setting of the /E switch each time
the program is run.*
SCAN/DELETE ON/OFF: Initial setting of the /D switch each time
the program is run.*
* NOTE: The state of each switch can be changed after THE VIRUS
TERMINUS is up and running. Changes made using the menu
switch selector DO NOT EFFECT THE DEFAULT values. The
only way to change the default values is to first press
F5-CHG.DEF to enter the DEFAULT sub-menu and then make
default changes there.
***** EXPERIMENTAL VIRUS DATA:
Please read the SCAN docs to get a better understanding
of what an 'experimental virus data file' consists of. If you
decide that you need to utilize this function, press F5-CHG.DEF
and make an entry to the default 'EXP.VIRUS DAT.FILESPEC'. This
entry will be the path and filename for your experimental virus
data file. Next, turn default switch 'EXP. VIRUS DATA ON/OFF' to
the 'ON' position. NOTE: This is the only way to tell THE VIRUS
TERMINUS program to relay the /EXT switch to SCAN. Be sure
to go back to CHANGE DEFAULTS and turn this switch off when you
are finished! This SCAN function was deliberately left
remote from the sub-menu switches since most users of SCAN and
THE VIRUS TERMINUS will not need to use it.
- PAGE 9 -
***** FILE MANAGEMENT
You may jump in and out of THE VIRUS TERMINUS, each
time copying, moving, deleting, etc. the files you choose.
Just press F3 at any menu. THE VIRUS TERMINUS will suspend
operation while you are in your shell/utility. You can get
back to THE VIRUS TERMINUS by using the EXIT/QUIT function
of your utility or by typing 'EXIT' at the DOS command prompt.
DO NOT attempt to go back to THE VIRUS TERMINUS by re-launching
VTEC20.EXE instead of using your SHELL's 'EXIT' function.
PCTOOLS V5.5 & V6.0, XTREE PRO and the NORTON COMMANDER
were tested successfully with the 640K memory model*. You may
even specify COMMAND.COM so that you have direct access to DOS.
The VIRUS TERMINUS program is very small and does not reserve
much memory for code and data(150K).
* It is reccomended that your system have 640K memory.
You will need this much memory if you plan to run PCTOOLS v6.0
N.R. full blown shell from THE VIRUS TERMINUS. Other shells
need less RAM and will reduce the required memory reserve. See
page #10 on how to determine available RAM.
SPECIAL NOTE TO USERS OF PCTOOLS(tm) PCSHELL:
IF you add an entry to your application menu and run THE
VIRUS TERMINUS from there, you should not experience any
problems. If you run VTEC20.EXE from the directory on your
hard disk directly by pressing return or clicking when the file
is highlighted and you have QUICK RUN 'ON' in your option menu,
you will have much less memory to work with.(about 200K less)
Turn QUICK RUN 'OFF' or add an entry to your applications menu
and run it from there. Also, it is not advised to run PCTOOLS(tm)
RESIDENT since this will eat up more memory needed for THE VIRUS
TERMINUS and SCAN/CLEAN/VALIDATE.
***** MOUSE OPERATION:
The two button Microsoft Mouse hardware specifications
are supported by this program when used in conjunction with a
color display/card that supports the IBM CGA C80 standard.
The program's video mode auto-detect logic disables mouse
operation if a Monochrome Display Adapter is detected. Only
keyboard entry is functional in MONOCHROME video mode(IBM MDA
standard). Logitech and all other Microsoft Mouse compatible
mice should function properly. The program logic checks for
a 'connected' mouse. You should not experience any trouble
if your mouse is truly M.S. compatible, connected to the
serial port or buss card, and the mouse driver software was
installed prior to running this program.
- PAGE 10 -
***** DIRECTORY VIEWS:
You may view the contents of the files, floppy or hard
drive directory/paths by clicking the mouse button when the
cursor is anywhere over the words 'SCAN/CLEAN FILES PATH',
'SCAN/CLEAN FLOPPY PATH', or 'SCAN/CLEAN -H.D.PATH'. The
following keyboard combinations correspond to the above listed
directories: CTRL - A, B, & C.
***** PROGRAM MENU SELECTIONS
SCAN/CLEAN FILES:
Use this main menu selection when all you need to do is
scan or clean an individual or batch of files. The /A ALL
switch is forced on and the /EXT switch is disabled. You may
choose file(s) from a paged directory display which is set to
your current dir. specification. Change this directory by F4-
CHG.PATH (F4 doesn't change the default). The pick list is
then activated so you can choose a previously used directory
without having to re-type the name. If the directory you want is
not on the list, choose NEW ENTRY and use the PATH FINDER. This
entry will then be placed in the pick list for future use.
HINT: Set this directory to your upload/download area so you can
scan files you download to make sure there are no viruses
present before you use a new downloaded program. Also, show
courtesy to others by scanning your files before you upload
them to your favorite BBS. While it is true that most BBS's
do their own VIRUS scan, why suffer the embarassment of
being told by the SYSOP that you have uploaded an infected
file.
You must specify a VIRUS CLEAN CODE before you can 'CLEAN' a
file or batch of files. Use menu selection #2 and get the code for
the virus you wish to disinfect. The code needed will be displayed
during a SCAN operation and may also be found in the CLEAN DOCS.
SCAN/CLEAN DRIVE(s):
Use this main menu selection when you wish to scan ENTIRE
floppy disks or a hard drive. Turn the /MANY switch on if you
want to SCAN/CLEAN more than one floppy disk. The default drive
spec. is processed. If you desire to SCAN/CLEAN another drive,
press F4-CHG.DRIVE (F4 changes the current drive, not the default).
Once again, the PICK LIST is active. Please note that only the
first two characters of your pick will be recognized.
(i.e. A: and not A:\ or A:\UTILITY\)
- PAGE 11 -
VALIDATE FUNCTIONS:
Use this main menu selection if you wish to utilize the
SCAN validation functions. You can add, remove or check the
validation check sums added to .COM or EXE files to see if there
have been any changes made to these files. The file display is
filtered to display only .COM and .EXE files. The check function
will reveal file tampering which the normal SCAN can't detect
provided you have previously added validation checksum to the
file you are checking. It changes the files length by about ten
bytes. Read the SCAN DOCS for more information.
The CRC CHECKSUM menu selection will perform a two method
check on the file of your choice which will provide a comparison
for future checks. The file display for this selection IS NOT
filtered since you may perform a CRC checksum on ANY FILE.
***** PROGRAM DEFAULTS:
The program defaults are used each time you enter a sub-menu.
The current settings for each sub-menu are initialized to the
default values. You may change the current settings without
effecting the defaults. SCAN/CLEAN switches can be changed and the
DRIVE or FILE(s) DIRECTORY can be altered. NOTE: Leaving the
sub-menu area causes the current settings to revert back to the
defaults.
Pressing F5-CHG.DEF will take you to the CHANGE DEFAULT menu.
NOTE: Changing a DEFAULT doesn't change the current settings.
However, the next time you enter a sub-menu the new default values
will be used to initialize the current settings.
***** SCAN/CLEAN with FRENCH MESSAGES:
Press F5 for CHANGE DEFAULTS and edit the default called
EXTRA SCAN/CLEAN PARAM: . Enter /FR and you're ready to go!
NOTE: You may add as many NEW parameters as they become necessary.
Just make sure each one starts with '/' and is separated
from other parameters by a space.
- PAGE 12 -
***** SWITCH SETTINGS
Changing the state of any switch while the program is running
will not change the default. The state of any switch changed
while in a sub-menu will revert back to the default when
you exit to the main menu. However, the VIRSUS CLEAN code will
remain the same and can be changed any time you are in a sub-
menu which allows VIRUS CLEAN code selection.
/MANY : Tells SCAN/CLEAN to process more
than one floppy in batch style.
Only one report is issued for each
batch done.
/FR : Instructs SCAN/CLEAN to issue all
messages in FRENCH.
/NLZ : SCAN will skip LZH compressed
files which may cause errors in
virus detection.
MEMORY
SCAN : SCAN and CLEAN will be instructed
to search RAM memory for virus.
/E : SCAN and CLEAN will add up to 3
user defined file extensions to
check. The data for extensions
must be first entered into the
default table. This switch is not
active while you are in the SCAN/
CLEAN files menu.(/A takes priorty
over /E)
/D : This parameter is used with SCAN
only. It tells SCAN to overwrite
and delete any infected file it
finds. USE WITH CAUTION! There is
no way to get the file back after
SCAN OVERWRITES!
/A : SCAN and CLEAN will process ALL
files found instead of just .EXE
.COM .BIN .OV? .PGM .PIF .PRG .SYS
.XTP files.(/A takes priorty over
/E) /A is forced on for SCAN FILES.
- PAGE 13 -
REPORTS : Turns on the SCAN/CLEAN reports.
The report is an ASCII text file
which will be placed in the SCAN/
CLEAN prg directory. THE VIRUS
TERMINUS will add enhanced
information to the report.
VIRUS ID
CODE : Select the CLEAN-up code by
pressing #2 in this menu. You must
select the right code before CLEAN
-ing. Read the documentation that
came with CLEAN for more info.
***** MEMORY AVAILABLE FUNCTION:
Memory available for SHELL launch or VIRUSCAN operations
can be found by pressing CTRL-F key combination while in ANY
MENU or CHANGE DEFAULTS. Free memory for SHELL launch is also
displayed each time you press F3 to go to your favorite shell.
The amount of free memory reported is based on the total
free contigious paragraphs(16 bytes) reported by DOS function
$48 of INTerrupt $21.
Reading the documentation which comes with your SHELL will
reveal the memory required for proper operation. Compare this to
MEMORY FREE to find out whether your SHELL will function
properly when it is launched from THE VIRUS TERMINUS.
THE VIRUS TERMINUS needs about 155K BYTES to work properly.
This figure includes both program and data storage. The MEMORY
FREE reported when using DOS V3.3 and running THE VIRUS TERMINUS
from PCTOOLS V6.0 non-resident is approximately 400K BYTES. This
is sufficient to re-enter PCTOOLS V6.0 by pressing F3 -DOS SHELL
whenever it is displayed in the lower menu bar.
The SAME AMOUNT of FREE MEMORY should be reported when you
return to THE VIRUS TERMINUS after using your SHELL. The amount
of MEMORY FREE will decrease if your SHELL mis-behaves and does
not release all memory it previously claimed. Decreasing MEMORY
FREE will also occurr if you do not 'EXIT' your shell and,
instead, re-launch THE VIRUS TERMINUS by executing VTEC20.EXE.
Doing this will eventually allocate all remaining memory so
that even THE VIRUS TERMINUS will not work properly and you will
be forced to do a hardware RESET.
- PAGE 14 -
***** SCAN/CLEAN REPORTS:
THE VIRUS TERMINUS adds enhanced information to each report
generated by McAfee's SCAN or CLEAN program. The following
information is added: VIRUSCAN program used(i.e. SCAN,CLEAN); the
parameter string sent out to SCAN or CLEAN which shows all switch
settings; the filename, drive or path processed; and the system
date.
A separate report is generated by SCAN/CLEAN for each file
that is processed. Multiple floppys get one report for each batch
done. A whole drive processed by SCAN/CLEAN will receive one
report.
A report counter is initialized when THE VIRUS TERMINUS is
first run. Each report generated is given a different name by
using the report counter value as part of the name(rpt_1.txt,
rpt_2.txt, etc,) You may generate 9999 different reports before
the counter recycles back to #1. It is important to note that the
reports will always start with rpt_1.txt each time the program is
run. Therefore, if you wish to save a report copy it to another
disk or directory so that the original report is not overwritten
the next time that you run THE VIRUS TERMINUS.
***** DIRECTORY PICK LIST:
A DIRECTORY PICK LIST is available when selecting directories
for file, floppy or hard drive paths. The left mouse button
is the same as the <ENTER> key and the right button is equivalent
to the <ESC> key. Pressing <ESC> leaves the PICK LIST with no
changes made to the defaults. If you press <ENTER> while 'NEW ENTRY'
is highlighted you may edit a new path. <D> = delete an entry.
There are a total of 15 PICK entries. You may continue to
enter new paths after the tenth spot is filled. Each new path
will then be placed at the END of the list and the FIRST
entry(#1) will be deleted to make room.
You may start from scratch simply by using your DOS SHELL to
delete the file VTEC.PCK prior to running THE VIRUS TERMINUS.
This yeilds the same effect as running the TERMINUS for the first
time since the pick file will not be created on disk until the end
of the first work session.
- PAGE 15 -
***** SCAN/CLEAN Version Notes:
The VIRUS TERMINUS(c) V2.0A was built around SCAN/CLEAN v77
Terminus was tested with versions 6.3V67, 6.3V72, 6.8V74B, 6.9v75 .
Version 6.3v67 included the /X switch which may not have been
present in earlier versions. If you have an earlier version, simply
don't use /X. Most other versions should work provided your copy of
SCAN/CLEAN has the files SCAN.EXE, CLEAN.EXE, VALIDATE.COM .
Version 6.3V71 introduced the /EXT for experimental viruses. If you
have an earlier version, don't use this switch either.(etc.)
Please note that the VIRUS CLEAN CODE list (VCLEAN.LST) is not
provided with this version of TERMINUS. You must have the file
VIRLIST.TXT that came with your copy of SCAN or CLEAN. To make the
necessary VCLEAN.LST file simply place the VIRLIST.TXT file in the
same directory as SCAN/CLEAN/VALIDATE/TERMINUS. Then run TERMINUS
and press #5 when you get to the main menu. The utility file named
MAKELIST.EXE will do the rest. Note that it is not necessary to create
a new VDLEAN.LST file each time you run TERMINUS. You only need to do
this the first time or when you change versions of SCAN or CLEAN.
***** DELETE - COPY/MOVE PROCEDURE:
Version 2.0A of VIRUS TERMINUS allows COPY, MOVE or DELETE files.
These functions work similar to the way they do in DOS but do not
require the presence of COMMAND.COM . The MOVE function WILL copy
across drives AND DELETE the original file.
- PAGE 16 -
***** DIRECTORY PATH SELECT:
Each submenu has a 'change path' function which is
initiated when CTRL-P key combination is pressed. This is the
PATH used for FILE SCAN/CLEAN operations. The PICK LIST is first
displayed to let you make your selection. You may choose
from one of the PICKS on your list or choose NEW ENTRY. A list
of valid logical drives is displayed if you select NEW ENTRY.
Select which drive you want to search for a new path on. The
next screen displays all found paths/directories on the drive
you selected. Only those 35 characters or less with either normal
or hidden attributes are available for selection. The 35 character
limitation is imposed to help reduce possible command line overflow
errors during SCAN, CLEAN, VALIDATE, etc. operations. The
drive path scan will go 15 levels deep with a maximum of 200 paths
reported for each completed drive scan.
These key strokes will produce the following results:
<PGDN> <PGUP> = Display next or previous window page.
<ENTER> = Selects highlighted path.
CTRL-N = Select new drive and path.
CTRL-P = Hardcopy print of the path list with stats.
CTRL-T = Creates an ASCII text file of the path list
in the ROOT directory of the drive that was
scanned.
<ESC> = Quit and return to submenu.
F1,F10 = HELP
HINT: If you create an ASCII text file of the paths on your
drive while you are using the path find function you can
then use your word processor or text editor to create
additional PICK LISTs. Each list may have a maximum of
15 lines with each 35 characters max long.
- PAGE 17 -
***** EXTRA FUNCTIONS:
Version 2.0A offers several options. The EXTRA FUNCTIONS
submenu allows viewing, merging and deleting of report files. DOS
BATCH file execution is also available.
The MERGE function first displays a list of all report files
found in the TERMINUS directory. You may choose from any or all
of them. Then MERGE will create a master file which combines ALL

This utility can be run from the main menu by pressing #5. The
purpose of this menu selection is to create a VCLEAN.LST file that
can be used to select virus clean ID codes for CLEAN.EXE . The utility
reads the McAfee VIRLIST.TXT file to find the needed data. This
program feature will help to insure that THE VIRUS TERMINUS does
not become obsolete. Each time you receive an update from McAfee
