  1. U)pload: The "U" command is used to transfer files from your computer to
  2. RBBS-PC.
  3.  
  4. You will be prompted for the name of the file you would like to upload
  5. after you give the "U" command. You will then be asked to select a protocol
  6. if you have not previously specified a default protocol (see the help for
  7. the utility command F)ile transfer for a discussion of different
  8. protocols).

  10. The next series of commands will depend on the communications software that
  11. you are using. Check the manual or document file that came with you
  12. communications software for specific information.

  14. UPLOAD GROUND RULES:  All callers are encouraged to upload files on this
  15. system.  Any type of program or document is welcome, however, a few ground
  16. rules are in order.  The files donated must contain only information that
  17. can be shared with others.  Callers who upload files overtly take on the
  18. sole  responsibility  that,  should these files be shared,  the  rights  of
  19. others  will not be violated.  The SYSOP is not responsible for any of  the
  20. data that is shared on this system.

  22. TIPS:
  23. 1. You can stack the "U" command with the file name. That is, you can enter
  24. "U;<filename> directly from the Files Menu. For example, you could type
  25. "U;keydo.exe" to upload the "keydo.exe" file.

  27. 2. You can override the default protocol by including it at the end of the
  28. command line.  For example, "U;LIST700.ARC;X" uploads LIST700.ARC using
  29. Xmodem no matter what the default protocol is.
