  5.               DEX-i-lbl is a freeware program.  You are
  6.               encouraged to use it and to offer it to others.
  7.  
  8.               This program gives the user the capability of
  9.               directing and formatting data to a standard 3 1/2
  10.               inch tractor feed mailing label.
  11.  
  12.               The program sends formatting instructions to the
  13.               printer to access 10 or 12 character per inch,
  14.               draft and/or near letter quality characters.  Not
  15.               all printers will read DEX-i-lbl's formatting
  16.               instructions, so the user is advised to format the
  17.               printer directly and then request a screen format
  18.               that will agree with the printer setting.

  20.               There is a test module to determine your printer's
  21.               abitilty to comply with the program's instructions.

  23.               The screen can be modified to reflect either a 10
  24.               or 12 character to the inch setting, and the print
  25.               head can be adjusted to accurately position it to
  26.               the label.

  28.               The label, represented on the screen, allows the
  29.               user to enter his/her data to it, moving the data
  30.               forward or back using standard insert and delete
  31.               keys to center the it on the label.

  33.               And finally, the user is given the opportunity
  34.               to print multiple labels should that be useful.

  36.               DEX-i-lbl was written as a utility for DEX-i-cal,
  37.               another product of Franklin Service Systems.  With
  38.               DEX-i-cal in the default directory, DEX-i-lbl can
  39.               draw on information stored within the filecards of
  40.               COMPUdex, avoiding the need to re-enter names,
  41.               addresses, etc. in the preparation of mailing labels.

  43.               When used in this way, centering of the information
  44.               on the label is accomplished by entering a number,
  45.               with or without a minus sign, to advance the data
  46.               in all the lines of the label simultaneously.  The
  47.               minus sign moves the printhead back the number of
  48.               spaces specified, no more than 9 at a time.
