  1. If you, like myself paid out your hard earned cash for
  2. sign master only to find out it's install to hard disk
  3. will not work on any drive but C: (contrary to what their
  4. support staff says),  Follow the following procedure and
  5. remove the silly copy protect altogether:
  6.  
  7. Make a copy of SIGN.EXE
  8. rename it to SIGN.XXX
  9. use debug
  10. DEBUG SIGN.XXX
  11. -d cs:BC87
  12.     you should see the following:
  13. 75 68 ...     if not then you've got a different version than 5.10
  14.               and this won't work.
  15.               If you see 75 68, then
  16. -e cs:BC87 eb 68
  17. -w
  18. -q
  19. RENAME SIGN.XXX SIGN.EXE
  20.  
  21. You now have a copy of Sign Master without the copy protect.
  22.  
  23. After arguing with the Stupid freaks about the fact that some
  24. people have a hard disk with other than a C: designation,
  25. I finally gave up and spent about 3 hours tracing the code and
  26. fixed the problem myself.
