  1. Here is how to unprotect Electric Desk V1.04 so that you can use 
  2. it on a hard disk without having to have the "key" floppy disk
  3. in drive A:.  First, copy ELECTRIC.EXE to ELECTRIC.TMP.
  4. DEBUG ELECTRIC.TMP
  5. type RCS
  6. add 2B5D to the CS number in Hex, using something like
  7. Sidekick's calculator in hex mode.  Then type the number
  8. that you get (xxxx) in at the colon (:) after the CS.
  9. Then do an E xxxx:1BA8 (return).
  10. You should see xxxx:1BA8 73.
  11. Enter EB (return)
  12. type RCS and enter the original CS
  13. then type W to write the file and Q to quit debug.
  14. Rename ELECTRIC.TMP ELECTRIC.EXE
  15. That's it!  You now have an unprotected copy of Electric Desk!
