This file contains information pertaining to features added to ArcMaster
in releases 4.01, 4.02, 4.1, 4.2, 4.21, 4.22, 4.23, and 4.30.
- Single archive mode. Tagged files are each placed in a
separate archive of the same name.
- Up to six multiple file masks in each window.
- Archive 1 or more tagged files in the LEFT window to ALL
archive (default system) files in the RIGHT window.
- Pause toggle to control pause and beep at the end of each
archive/unarchive operation.
- Changed right/left arrow keys to the same function as the
tab key.
- Fixed mouse problem that occurred when viewing archive files.
- Create/remove directories with INS/DEL key when viewing
directory listing in either window.
- Use INS key in LEFT window to designate a file name to be
inserted in the archive file name entry window.
- Use INS key in RIGHT window to designate a "hot archive".
This will bypass the prompt for an archive file name when
archiving files.
- Use "*" to force the use of "*.*" as a file mask in the
active window.
- F11 and F12 keys available on AT/PS2 extended keyboards if
running FANSI console or other driver that enables use of
these keys.
- Fixed DESQView aware problem.
- Added automatic unarchive system detection capability.
- Added ability to change the name of LIST.COM
- Added call-up of archive system menu with ESC key or Alt-F9
key combination.
- When changing directories, the F1 key may be used in lieu of
the ENTER key and will cause both the left and right windows
to display the directory under the cursor bar.
- Fixed bug in Alt-T display.
- Fixed bug in AutoUnArc logic.
- Fixed bug in deletion of tagged files inside a ZIP file.
Version 4.2
- Added calling of PKZIPFIX.EXE (must be in DOS path) by hitting
Ctrl-Z with cursor over a .ZIP file in the LEFT window.
- Added support for the EX compression switch in PKZIP. Note that
the EX option will NOT work with PKZIP 0.90.
- Added support for the -O option (latest time/date) in PKZIP,
which will set the time date of the ZIP file to that of the
latest file in the ZIP file.
- Reworked the entire set of mouse handling routines. The mouse
is now available during the entry of strings (file names, etc) in
addition to being active in the main display and all menus.
- Fixed a problem with the Alt-T (show tagged files only) when
viewing ARC/PAK/ZIP file contents.
- Removed a pause/beep used for debugging the conversion routine that
was stupidly left in by the programmer (whoever he is).
- Fixed a logic problem that sometimes caused archive systems that
were actually in the system and in the DOS PATH not to be
recognized.
- Added an item to the options menu for turning beeps/bells ON/OFF.
Version 4.21
- Fixed a bug that caused the system to freeze (hang) if an attempt
was made to view the contents of a .ZIP/.ARC/.PAK file that was
marked READ-ONLY.
- Expanded the file list search routine beyond just entering the 1st
letter key.
Version 4.22
- Added support for the new LHARC compression/decompression system.
Please see LHARC.TXT for details.
Version 4.23
- Added two more conversions (LZH to ARC, LZH to ZIP).
- Added separate pop-up menu for selecting default conversion.
Version 4.30
- Added batch file copying (with overwrite confirmation).
- Added batch file moving (including across drives and with
overwrite confirmation).
- Added single file renaming.
- Added command line entry of file name to position cursor bar in
LEFT window at startup.
- Added overlay file to reduce RAM requirements.
