  194.                                    ASSETS.EXE
  195.

  197.               ASSETS is a home inventory application. It allows you to keep
  198.               track of your valuable possessions. The first table lists items
  199.               in alphabetical order by room. The Inventory report prints a list
  200.               of items by room, and the second report prints a list of items
  201.               with serial numbers.
  202.  
  203.               Hot Keys or Function keys trigger special operations from within
  204.               your application. Case in point: from your ITEMS Scrolling table
  205.               you have 2 choices, they are: F9 Print Inventory and F10 Print a
  206.               Serial Number Report.
  207.  
  208.               When using our software remember: Basically we use 2 different
  209.               types of screens, they are: Scrolling Tables, which allow you to
  210.               display multiple records on the screen at the same time. The 2nd
  211.               screen is the basic FORM. On the FORM you will enter individual
  212.               pieces of information. Once entered they will be displayed in the
  213.               SCROLLING TABLE.
  214.  
  215.               Remember: Your ESC-KEY will always take you back 1 step. Your
  216.               ENTER-KEY will accept your current position and advance you to
  217.               the next available field. PRESSING CTRL-ENTER at the same time      
  218.  
  219.               will tell the computer to accept the information on the screen
  220.               and save it then EXIT the FORM.
  221.  
  222.               Using the ASSETS.EXE program to inventory your home will save you
  223.               from any disagreements with your insurance agent with regards to
  224.               personal possessions. Always remember that it is a good idea to
  225.               PHOTOGRAPH your possessions and keep the receipts for proof.

  228.                                   LIBRARY.EXE
  229.  
  230.  
  231.               The LIBRARY application is a very complete and specialized home
  232.               oriented program. It will inventory all of your BOOKS, VIDEO'S
  233.               and MUSIC items.
  234.  
  235.               Many users will use this program in conjunction with the
  236.               ASSETS.EXE home inventory program. Entering information about
  237.               their collection in this program and next running the reports
  238.               then taking these totals and adding them into the Home Inventory
  239.               program.
  240.  
  241.               Basically, the LIBRARY application is 3 programs in one. This
  242.               application works the same way our other programs operate in that
  243.               it uses TABLES and FORMS to track information.
  244.

  248.               When running LIBRARY or any other application always remember
  249.               that while you are viewing the TABLE you can ADD new Information    
  250.  
  251.               by pressing your INS-KEY. If your computer BEEPS at you it is
  252.               telling you that your NUM LOCKS KEY is on. Press your NUM LOCKS
  253.               KEY and then continue.
  254.

  256.  
  257.               While viewing your information in the TABLE view you can also
  258.               PRESS your DEL-KEY. This will activate your record DELETION
  259.               process and a window will open stating RECORD TO DELETE. If you
  260.               do not want to delete the record, simply press your ESC-KEY.

  262.               Your LIBRARY application will also allow you to keep tabs on
  263.               items that you have lent to other people.
  264.  
  265.                                    MEMOS.EXE
  266.  
  267.               Your MEMOS application allows you to do several things. You can    
  268.               organize a staff of people into departments, maintain a file of    
  269.               MEMOS and create and print MEMOS for an entire staff, a selected
  270.               department, or an individual.
  271.               While this application is obviously a very useful office worker    
  272.               it could easily be modified for other purposes.

  275.                                    ORDER.EXE
  276.  
  277.  
  278.               Your ORDER application is used for order entry and processing.     
  279.               This application uses some advanced techniques specifically:
  280.  
  281.                                  Automatic field numbering
  282.                                  Built in functions
  283.                                  Computed fields
  284.                                  Lookup fields
  285.                                  File Lookups for entries
  286.                                  Memory fields
  287.                                  Multiple report break fields
  288.                                  Pause fields
  289.                                  Record selectors
  290.                                  Total on screen fields
  291.                                  Plus many others
  292.  
  293.               While using your ORDER application it will calculate the next      
  294.               available customer number and assign it to the next record you     
  295.               enter.

  297.               We have seen this program used by so many different industries it
  298.               is really amazing. This is not a complicated program however it    
  299.               has a great deal of versatility.
  300.  
  301.               Remember: Your ESC-KEY takes you back 1 step. This program
  302.               creates it's own data files just like all of our program.
  303.               If you start using this program to experiment with its potential
  304.               and then decide to go live you can very simply: Exit the program
  305.               and while in the sub-directory issue the following command from
  306.               the prompt C:> ERASE *.DAT
  307.  
  308.  
  309.               This will remove all of your temporary data files and the next     
  310.               time you call up this program it will create new files all by      
  311.               itself.

  314.                                    PHONES.EXE
  315.  
  316.               Your Phones application is a very powerful yet simple to run       
  317.               electronic telephone directory.
  318.               We have made this program versatile to the point that it will      
  319.               function either on your home computer -or- will be equally useful
  320.               on your office computer.

  322.               You can send your reports (as with all of our programs) to the     
  323.               screen first prior to printing. This procedure allows you to       
  324.               verify the accuracy of a report prior to actually printing it.
  325.               Again, when at the SCROLLING-TABLE view remember: INS = Add a new
  326.               entry, DEL = Delete an existing entry, ENTER-KEY = Modify an       
  327.               existing entry/record.

  329.                                   TEACHER.EXE
  330.  
  331.               Our teacher application was designed to assist a teacher with      
  332.               class organization and grading. Some of the fields are self        
  333.               explaining while others may require an explanation.

  335.               Level = Level of instruction
  336.               Schedule = Meeting schedule
  337.               Course Code = Course identifier
  338.               Info = Confidential Information
  339.               Ident = Student identification
  340.               Layout = a large memo field containing a freeform drawing of the   
  341.                        room layout and the numbers of seats in the room.
  342.               Seat = Seat number
  343.               Test code = Test identifier
  344.               Date = mm/dd/yy
  345.               Grade period = a number i.e. 1, 2, 3
  346.               Wt factor = Weighting factor

  350.                                   TRACKING.EXE

  352.  
  353.               Your TRACKING application records sales calls, customer
  354.               information, actual sales, and personal comments. Since every
  355.               sales environment is different we have tried to make this
  356.               application cover only the basics.
  357.               We would be happy to modify this program for your organization.

  360.                                     CLUB.EXE
  361.  
  362.               Your CLUB application can be used to manage a membership list of
  363.               any organization.
  364.  
  365.               It includes an address file of members (Including dues paid) and
  366.               a file of standardized letters with the address file for mass
  367.               mailing.

  372.                                    PAPER.EXE
  373.  
  374.               Here is a useful program for the home decorator. This program      
  375.               calculates the number of rolls of wall paper required to over a    
  376.               room.
  377.               Paper uses a "rule of thumb" algorithm gleaned from a "How to
  378.               manual". Essentially, the computation sets the wall paper          
  379.               requirement at 125% of the wall area less one roll for every pair  
  380.               of doors and every double window.
  381.               The computation increases the wall area to account for waste
  382.               produced by repeated patterns.
  383.  
  384.  
  385.                                    CREDIT.EXE
  386.  
  387.               Your CREDIT application keeps a record of all the credit cards     
  388.               that you possess. Pertinent information such as issuing company,   
  389.               credit card number, expiration date and so forth, is maintained    
  390.               through a screen which allows you to ADD, REVISE, DELETE, OR
  391.               PRINT CREDIT CARD RECORDS or to merely review each credit car      
  392.               record as needed.

  394.                                    BBALL.EXE
  395.  
  396.               Your BaseBall application tracks the roster and statistics of a    
  397.               Little League baseball team.
  398.               This program is pretty straight forward and doesn't really
  399.               require much explanation.
  400.  
  401.                                   PAYMENT.EXE
  402.  
  403.               The PAYMENT application computes the monthly payment required to   
  404.               pay off a mortgage.
  405.               CTRL-ESC Key terminates the program.
  406.  
  407.                                   COOKBOOK.EXE
  408.  
  409.               Here is a good home program to track, display and print RECIPES.
  410.               Although there are many home program on the market, most of them   
  411.               are to complex to maintain on a daily basis.
  412.               Here is one that is easy to run and have fun with.
  413.  
  414.                                      CO.EXE
  415.  
  416.               CHARGE OFF LOAN TRACING: "D-E-M-O" for one of our commercial       
  417.               packages. This program is sold nation-wide to Credit Unions,
  418.               Banks and Savings & Loans Associations.
  419.               It was written originally as a special request by one of our       
  420.               customers. After running the program for about 2 years they        
  421.               informed us that other Credit Unions all over the country had      
  422.               inquired about where they got their program.
  423.               Currently, this program is in 18 different states. It is used by   
  424.               lending institutions, City & County Government agencies also       
  425.               select RETAILER'S to track their charge-off's.

  427.  
  428.                                    SLOTS.EXE
  429.  
  430.               SLOTS Plays a casino-style one-armed bandit. The bank starts with  
  431.               one thousand dollars; you start with what ever amount you wish to  
  432.               put up against the bank. Each play costs a dollar. Your pay-off    
  433.               depends upon the combination of "FRUIT" or "BARS" that appear
  434.               when the bandit's wheels stop spinning.
  435.  
  436.                            SHORT CUTS & HELPFUL HINTS
  437.  
  438.               First, realize that most software program use "ONLY" FORMS. These
  439.               tend to be rather boring and only allow you to view one part of
  440.               your information at a time.
  441.               We have tried to create a different view utilizing a professional
  442.               developers software generator. * SEE Acknowledgements section *
  443.               along with some specialized language extension modules.
  444.  
  445.               1  Our software starts from a MAIN MENU
  446.               2  Next, generally we will go to a SCROLLING TABLE.
  447.                  A. This allows you to view multiple entries or parts of a form

  449.               4  Lookups ( Exploding Windows ) to minimize data entry required
