- NAMING NOTEPAD FILES <More ~PNA2~>
-
- Suggestion: When using your personal notepad, consider naming the
- file to correspond with the open window (with a different extension).
-
- For example, this window has "PNA" in the center of the top frame.
- Every window has a similar file name. If you were to enter the
- notepad from this screen to make an entry, and IPJ is on your C
- drive, you might name the file "C:\IPJ\PNA.PAD". You could later
- edit and/or add to that file by simply re-opening, editing, and
- saving it after changes.
-
- Using this system would give you a sense of where you are picking up
- ideas and what is triggering memories. The author would be interested
- in that information also. ~AU~ And, this system of file-naming
- would greatly assist him in incorporating your notes into future
- versions of the IPJ if you submit them for his consideration. ~AU2~
-
- Eventually, you will probably want to combine files by topic or use
- some other method, (your suggestions are invited). Using the window
- name is a way to start, before you know what categories will develop
- to form your personal journal.
