- Program Description:
-
- PC-HAM is a set of database programs of interest to Amateur Radio
- enthusiasts. The programs cover many areas: computer aided design, contact
- logging, awards, contests, simulations and modelling, antenna position and
- pointing, OSCAR satellite tracking, and contest logging. The BASIC language
- programs are described in (or based on) the book, Software For Amateur
- Radio, written by Joe Kasser. The dBASE II programs are an expanded version
- of the NorthStar BASIC programs that perform database operations on logbook
- information.
-
- The documentation is meager and, with the exception of the dBASE II
- programs, frequently refers to the author's book. The author, however,
- doesn't try to sell you his book. On balance, the documentation is probably
- more than adequate. The author says that the NorthStar BASIC programs will
- be converted to PC BASIC, probably in the next release.
-
- No system requirements are given. The dBASE II and PC BASIC programs should
- run on any minimally configured IBM PC or compatible that will run dBASE II.
- Two diskette drives are recommended. The NorthStar BASIC programs will run
- on a NorthStar Horizon.
