  16. Program Description:

  18. PC-HAM is a set of database programs of interest to Amateur Radio 
  19. enthusiasts.  The programs cover many areas: computer aided design, contact 
  20. logging, awards, contests, simulations and modelling, antenna position and 
  21. pointing, OSCAR satellite tracking, and contest logging.  The BASIC language 
  22. programs are described in (or based on) the book, Software For Amateur 
  23. Radio, written by Joe Kasser.  The dBASE II programs are an expanded version 
  24. of the NorthStar BASIC programs that perform database operations on logbook 
  25. information.

  27. The documentation is meager and, with the exception of the dBASE II 
  28. programs, frequently refers to the author's book.  The author, however,  
  29. doesn't try to sell you his book.  On balance, the documentation is probably 
  30. more than adequate.  The author says that the NorthStar BASIC programs will 
  31. be converted to PC BASIC, probably in the next release.

  33. No system requirements are given.  The dBASE II and PC BASIC programs should 
  34. run on any minimally configured IBM PC or compatible that will run dBASE II.  
  35. Two diskette drives are recommended.  The NorthStar BASIC programs will run 
  36. on a NorthStar Horizon.
