  1.                             INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
  2.  
  3. This file lists the steps necessary to install the Above Board 286 and PS/286.
  4. For details about each of these steps, refer to the Above Board manual.
  5.  
  6. 1  Add memory to the Above Board.  The board can hold as much as 2M bytes.
  7.  
  8. 2  Insert the Above Board in the computer.
  9.  
  10. 3  Run the SETBOARD program to set up the board's hardware.
  11.  
  12. 4  Run the computer's setup program (for 80286-based computers only) if you
  13.    use the Above Board to add conventional or extended memory.
  14.  
  15. 5  Run the TESTAB (confidence tests) program to pinpoint non-functioning or
  16.    improperly installed RAM chips on the Above Board.
  17.  
  18. 6  Run the INSTALL program to install the Above Board software that lets you
  19.    use expanded memory, RAM disks, and a print buffer.  
  20.  
  21. 7  Run the CHKMEM program to list the amount of conventional, expanded,
  22.    and extended memory in your computer.
