  4. MAP is a utility for the Artisoft LANtastic network operating
  5. system version 3.xx.  MAP provides all of the functionality of
  6. the Artisoft NET SHOW and NET POSTBOX commands in one simple, easy
  7. to read display.  The information provided by MAP is as follows:
  8.  
  9.     The version of the NOS that you are running.
  10.  
  11.     Your Machine (Redirector) name.
  12.  
  13.     An indication as to whether SHARE.EXE is installed (File/Record
  14.     locking enabled).
  15.  
  16.     The status of the message handler BEEP and POP-UP toggles.
  17.  
  18.     A list of all of your current redirections.
  19.  
  20.     The timeout (in seconds) for output to LPT ports before EOF is assumed.
  21.  
  22.     A list of all of the servers that you are logged on to.  This
  23.      list will also indicate the user name that you are using and
  24.      whether or not you have any mail on that server.  Beginning
  25.      with Version 1.04 of MAP, group mail is also supported.

  27. MAP is a very easy utility to use, simply place it somewhere along
  28. your DOS PATH and execute the command 'MAP'; there is one command
  29. line switch (kinda).  If you place anything (other than a pipe or
  30. redirect) after the MAP command, the MAP output will be displayed to
  31. STDOUT a screen full at a time (like DIR/P).

  33. We have MAP installed on our X:\NETUTILS subdirectory on the file server.
  34. This subdirectory is appended to our path in STARTNET.BAT so that everyone
  35. has access to it when they are up on the network.

  37. The output of MAP is written to STDOUT and is therefore
  38. redirectable.  This means you can do the following:
  39.  
  40.     C:> MAP | MORE                ' Pipe output through a filter
  41.  
  42.     C:> MAP > MAP.LST            ' Redirect output to a file
  43.
