Dear Dave:
I've enjoyed our conversations concerning Visa/MC merchant
accounts, and as a result have developed the following SYSOP only
program:
1. Upon approval of a SysOp's application, the following
fees would apply:
A. $95 account set-up and activation fee
B. $5 monthly statement fee
C. $25 activity fee if volume is below $5000/month
D. 5% discount rate on all transactions
E. 75 cent charge per transaction to verify and
type into our computer system
2. The SysOp would be allowed to submit ONE batch of paper
forms each month. The net proceeds would be available in
his account at the bank within a week after receipt of
his paper forms, which can probably utilize your format.
3. There is a non-refundable $150 application fee/manual
kit.
4. The SysOp would have to register the name of his board
and provide us with a DBA certificate. This is the name
under which the customer would be billed, and the name
of the bank account for the SysOp.
As you graciously offered, the message that we would want other
SysOp's to display on their boards for their users would be
something like:
DO YOU NEED A VISA/MC MERCHANT ACCOUNT? If
you'd like to be able to accept Visa/MC
from your customers, and are having
trouble getting a merchant account because
you're in mail order, phone order, home
based or new in business, here's a company
which specializes in merchant accounts for
people in your situation. Call Credit Flow
Corp. at 602-265-8040 Ext. 147.

As for the bulletin that SysOps read, with regards to them
getting a merchant account, the message would be different:
ARE YOU A SYSOP WHO WOULD LIKE A VISA/MC
MERCHANT ACCOUNT? There's a company which
has a special program for sysops (low
cost!) to enable you to accept credit
cards from your users. Contact Irv
Brechner at (201) 445-7196.
If you have any additional questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Irv Brechner
Vice-President
