Build-A-Fish 2.1
Copyright 1991 Virginia Marine Science Museum
Programmer - Mark C. Vang (VMSM)
Build-A-Fish is copyrighted software. It is distributed as
shareware which means that:
* You may copy it and share it with others as long as no charge is
made for the software, and it is unmodified and copied in it's
entirety, including all program documentation and support files.
* Build-A-Fish may be distributed via modem as long as all files are
archived together for transmission.
Shareware is not free software, it is not "Public Domain". You
are encouraged to use this software for a reasonable trial period (30
days). If you continue to use it after this period, you must register
and pay for the software. If you use this software commercially or in
a classroom you must register it immediately.
What you get if you register:
* Peace of mind for having done the right thing. No more waking
up in a cold sweat at 3am worrying about your unregistered
shareware.
* The "registered" version of Build-A-Fish which DOES NOT
include the "REGISTRATION REMINDER" opening screen.
* FISHES OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY. Which is marine science
curriculum prepared by the Education staff of VMSM for use
in it's programs. This literature details body shapes and habitats
of fish found in the Chesapeake Bay.
* Notification of future Build-A-Fish upgrades. You will be
notified by mail of upgrades. When the Museum upgrades it's
floor computers to VGA color systems, we will be upgrading
all of the fish graphics files to 256 color VGA. (NICE!)
You will not be eligible for these upgrades if you do not
register. Note: Some, but not all upgrades will be free.
Upgrades which significantly enhance the Build-A-Fish software
will be pay upgrades. However, discounts will be applied for:
1. Registered users.
2. Museum Members.
3. Users with an educational (classroom) license.
If you are a teacher and you wish to use Build-A-Fish in your
classroom please contact me for special registration rates and
information on available curriculum material.
SOFTWARE SUPPORT:
Software support is only offered to registered users. At this
time no phone support is offered. Build-A-Fish is not very
complicated and therefore does not require elaborate support. You may
mail suggestions and questions to my attention at VMSM. You may also
contact me via compuserve E-mail, my user number is 76206.1557.
ORDER.DOC is the software registration form. Copy it to your printer
and fill in the form, include the registration fee. Thank you.
