  5. AMPLE NOTICE is a calendar and alarm clock program that helps organize
  6. your schedule of appointments.  Appointments and notes are entered into a
  7. standard text file in any of a variety of simple dating formats, and each
  8. day you view a calendar of commitments taken from this file.  This text
  9. file can be edited from within the program or from an ASCII word
  10. processor.

  12. Appointments that include a time can automatically set a pop-up alarm
  13. clock to notify you at a given advance interval.  You can print out a
  14. specified range of dates to keep track of your appointments away from your
  15. computer.  The printouts can be in a variety of print styles including a
  16. "tiny" option for very compressed listings for your wallet or purse.  You
  17. can also print a calendar for any range of months for a particular year.

  19. CATALOG is the result of frustration with the limitations of DOS file
  20. cataloging, which allows only an eight character file name plus a
  21. three-character extension.  CATALOG helps users of word processors,
  22. spreadsheets, and other programs write a file description of any length.
  23. This is done by maintaining a list of files of a chosen suffix in a simple
  24. text file.
