SHELL Modem Menu v1.0 Ryan Snodgrass REGISTRATION $5.00
COMM MAY90 COMMUNICATIONS MENU SHELL PROCOMM SNODGRASS
FILES: smmenu10.sdn
New Release
SHELL Modem Menu was developed mainly for Procomm Plus
communication program, but was also designed so you could
also use it straight for the DOS prompt. It was also
designed so that you could edit the menu from within the
program so as you would not have to exit the program and have
a text editor to redesign the program.
The first thing we will cover is setting up the programs.
When you first load SHELL Modem Menu you should see a
question mark at each selection. You must push the letter S
and then it will ask you to push the number you wish to edit.
Then a box will come up that looks something like:
╔═════════════════════════════════════╗
║ Program Name: ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ║
║ File Name: ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ║
║ Path Of File: ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ║
╚═════════════════════════════════════╝
The first selection you should come to is Program Name:. In
this box you should type in the name of the program that you
would like to be displayed on the menu. The next box is the
File Name:. In this box, type in the filename of the
program. Example of a filename: EXAMPLE.EXE. The filename
must include the .EXE, .COM, or .BAT extension. The next box
is the Path Of File:. In this box you should enter the path
of the file. Example of a path: C:\EXAMPLE\. You MUST
include the slash (\) at the end of the path. If the program
is in the same directory as the menu you do not need to put a
path in. Then press the letter Q to go back to the main menu
and then press the selection number that you chose to see if
it worked. If you went back to the box like that above you
needed to press the letter Q until you got out of the setup
part of the program.
