Update
QUICK DIAL v1.3 is a full-featured, color communications
package written entirely in Microsoft QuickBASIC v4.5.
Here's what it offers (** means new feature):
** allows modem speeds up to *9600* bps
** provides *faster* ANSI emulation and information
throughput
** is *Windows 3.0 compliant*; runs in background and in a
window in enhanced mode on a '386 or better platform;
includes .ICO and .PIF files for Windows users
** contains *built-in XMODEM checksum* file transfer protocol
and supports two external file transfer protocols of your
choosing
-- provides a circular COLOR scroll back buffer configurable
to hold from 10 to 50 screens, up to 96,600 characters
** includes *Q-FIND*, so users can locate any character, word
or phrase in the scroll back buffer
-- takes COLOR screen snapshots to make permanent recordings
of important information, live or in scroll back buffer mode
-- supports an unlimited number of dialing directories
-- sorts dialing directories while running
-- supports a circular auto-dial queue
-- auto-redials last number dialed
-- maintains a permanent "connect" file that records who you
called, when you called and how long you were connected
-- supports ASCII text file uploads
-- enables jumping to DOS whether connected to a BBS or not
-- sends incoming and outgoing information to your printer
and/or a log file
-- can auto-send your handle, password and 4-digit number to
the remote when you log on
Hardware Requirements: IBM-compatible PC, 256K of available
RAM, color video card and color monitor that support an 80
column by 25 line screen mode, and a Hayes-compatible modem
Other Requirements: DOS 3.x or higher
