WHAT'S NEW
An Abbreviated History of Quick Dial
Version 1.0 released July 17, 1990
Version 1.1 released September 3, 1990
-- Corrected several minor bugs.
-- Deleted the built-in XMODEM-CRC and YMODEM-CRC transfer
protocols. They were inefficient and unused. The ability
to access modern transfer protocols like ZMODEM and PUMA
(M₧) is what's needed and used.
-- Enabled a half-duplex mode. This option is now available
when setting the communications parameters.
-- Enabled sending the ESCape character (ASCII 27) through to
the modem.
Version 1.2 released October 14, 1990
-- Enabled ANSI emulation to exist with ASCII uploading. This
makes Quick Dial compatible with BBS's that send embedded
ANSI ESCape sequences in their message prompts.
-- Made ANSI emulation more cautious. Quick Dial no longer
assumes that a BBS or an ANSI paint program sends proper
ANSI ESCape sequences.
