Release Date:
8th April 1991
Background:
The instrument flight simulator has been designed to allow private pilots to
practice VOR and ADF intercepts inbound and outbound. The three main
instruments, DI, VOR and ADF are displayed graphically along with the
aircraft and co-located NDB/VOR station. DME is also provided. The nav-aid
instruments are extremely accurate and a high degree of precision can be
achieved.
Version 1.3:
Initial release.
Version 1.3c update:
1.3 version 'c' now incorporates joystick control for use with the
Maxx Control Yoke or a standard joystick. The joystick enhances the
control of the program and makes it much easier use.
Version 1.3d update:
1.3 verison 'd' now fixes an 'oversight' in the joystick control. Only a
control yoke, like the 'Maxx' controlled the thrust correctly. Standard
joysticks can now use the simulator correctly. Joystick null zone increased
slightly.
Version 1.3e update:
Includes IFSDEMO.EXE demonstration file.

Synthetic trainers and actual flying can be very expensive. This prompted
me to write an Instrument Flight Simulator which would be easy to use and
be a great learning aid. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
