  32.         Something  that  always amazes  me when I read  my  morning
  33.         paper  is  the amount of critics that get to write  in  it.
  34.         They  complain about  how  bad  some  movie  or  play  they
  35.         have seen is.  And they go on  and  on  about  how  bad  it
  36.         was. I wonder if they  have  a  template  where  they  just
  37.         fill  in the name of the movie or the play and then  change
  38.         some  of  the  words  so  that  no  one  will  notice   the
  39.         difference.  Here  in  Europe it is almost  as  if  it  was
  40.         forbidden  to  write a good review of a movie  produced  in
  41.         the USA.
  42.         Also, they review books "for us". The thought is perhaps to
  43.         spare  us  from  the books that are badly written  or  just
  44.         plain  garbage.  I wonder if it has  ever  occurred  to any
  45.         of the critics that people have  different taste.  I wonder
  46.         why  people  read  their  fucking articles at all!  How can
  47.         they possibly  think  that  one person that they have never
  48.         met is capable of judging what they  should  read,  what is
  49.         shit and what is not?
  50.         I believe that this is a major  symptom  of  the  bug  that
  51.         our  society  has catched. Papers and TV-companies actually
  52.         have people employed to think for us! Critics do  not  have
  53.         any  function in our society.  When the critics write their
  54.         articles,  they  are  not  doing it because they think that
  55.         some  author  or some  movie director  could  perhaps  do a
  56.         better job if they write some  constructive  criticism,  no
  57.         they write their stuff because they want to   prove  to  us
  58.         "dumb" people that  they   are intellectual, and capable of
  59.         doing a much better job if they wanted to.
  60.         For  example,  Ace Of Base (ok ok, perhaps you  don't  like
  61.         them, just wait though) is being seriously targeted here in
  62.         Sweden  by  our "music-critics". They write  all  sorts  of
  63.         stuff  about  this band, how bad they play, how  ugly  they
  64.         are, how bad their choreographic is.

  66.         How come they sell so good?

  74.         BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST PLAIN JEALOUS LOSERS!

  76.         A  lot of people read their  articles and form some kind of
  77.         opinion  about  this  band  after  they  have read it - but
  78.         before they have actually heard the music.  Or people trust
  79.         the critics  because they are so  smart and  successful  so
  80.         they  get to  write  stuff in a magazine.  We all know that
  81.         everything printed in a paper is always true, right?
  82.         Perhaps Ace Of Base isn't one of my personal favorites, but
  83.         they do  deserve to get a fair chance - like everyone else.
  84.         Imagine what you might have  missed all these years because
  85.         you have listened to  some  of  these  losers!  There might
  86.         be  some  really good music or some really good  books  you
  87.         have not read because a sucker wrote it down totally. Maybe
  88.         he had a bad day when he wrote the review.  Maybe his  wife
  89.         left him. Maybe his cat got pregnant - by the dog. Maybe he
  90.         got a positive AIDS-test back.
  91.         Maybe he is just a jealous loser.
