  11. Fortell systems seem to be a system to monitor lines. They can only be used to
  12. monitor lines within their own NPA.
  13.  A Fortell system is at 716-955-7750. Whene you call, you will hear:
  14.  
  15. 'Hello. This is the Taradyne Fortell system. Please enter ID code'
  16.  
  17. The ID for this system is 722877*. After you type that in (DTMF) it will ask
  18. 'please enter line number' where you then type the PRE+SUFF of the number you
  19. wish to check within the NPA of the Fortell.
  20.   After you enter a number, it will repeat the number you entered. Now it will
  21. ask you to 'please enter mode'.

  23. The modes are:
  24.  
  25. 1-Calling on other line
  26. 2-Calling on test line
  27. 3-Line test results
  28.  
  29. If you enter mode 1, you will have these commands available:
  30.  
  31. 1-Fault location
  32. 2-Other testing
  33. 7-Test ok, Monitor
  34. 8-Hang up
  35. 9-Enter next line number
  36.  
  37.  If you enter 7 here, it will repeat what you selected, and ask for an ID code
  38. which can be any 6 digit number followed by a *.
  39.  
  40.  Now it will dial and tell you:
  41.  'Subscriber busy-busy-monitor test in progress conversation on line-short on
  42. line'
  43.  
  44. 2-Monitor test
  45. 3-Overide and test
  46. 4-Wait for idle
  47.  
  48.  If you enter 2, (Monitor Test) it will tell you the busy status again.
  49.  
  50.  If you enter 3, it will override, or tell you 'Not available in this CO'.

  52.  If you enter 4, (Wait for idle) it will wait until the line is idle.

  55. If you enter 1 (Fault Location) at the main list you will get these options:

  57. 1-Open location
  58. 3-Short location
  59. 4-Cross location
  60. 5-Ground location
  61. 8-Hang up
  62.  
  63. If you enter 2 (Other testing) here, you will have these commands:
  64.  
  65. 2-Loop Ground OHMS
  66. 3-Dial tone test
  67. 5-Pair ID
  68. 8-Hang up
  69.  
  70. If you enter Mode 2, you will have these options:(Other testing)

  72. 2-Other testing
  73. 7-Test ok, Monitor
  74. 8-Hang up
  75. 9-Enter next line number

  77.   It will repeat what you selected. If you select 2 here, you will now have
  78. these commands:

  80. 2-Loop Ground Omhs
  81. 8-Hang up
  82.  
  83.  If you select 7 at the main list after mode 2, it will ask for an ID which is
  84. any 6 digit number followed by a *. Now it will dial and check the number. If
  85. the number is busy, it will say 'Subcriber busy-monitor-test in progress-
  86. conversation on line-short on line-please hang up-waiting for idle' Now you can
  87. just type * to go back to the main list of commands.

  89.       If you enter MODE 3, if you have done a test before, it will give you the
  90. results of the test. If you haven't done a test, it will tell you so with 'No
  91. test results available'

  93.  You can abort back to the main commands list by typing a *.
  94.  
  95.  By typing a 9 at several places you will be taken back to the beginning where
  96. it asks you to 'enter line number'
