-
- Volume 2, Issue 5
-
- You can always find BTR on PsychoTron BBS
- └──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
-
- This issue of Beneath the remains will be on fucking around with bbs's..
- Call up a bbs that when you log off, it can hang up on you..
- Hang around on it (just to NOT look too suspicous) then logoff, and when it
- cant hang up on you, you'll just see maybe something like 'ATS0=1ZH0' then
- go into your macros (in your term program) and make a few with the F keys.
-
- Note (: Im not exactly sure if you need the Ctrl-M (^M) but it doesnt hurt:)
-
- They should look like this:
- --------------------------
-
- F1 = ERROR^M
- F2 = OK^M
- F3 = RING^M~~~~~~~~RING^M~~~~~~~~
- F4 = CONNECT^M
-
-
- The reason for the F3 (RiNG) is most sysops have a program the will reboot
- their computer if the BBS doesnt answer after a few rings, so write a program
- in QBASIC (or something) that will call a bbs, then make it the board try
- to dissconnect. Then just have it print RING to the modem with a 4 second
- pause in between. Kewl huh?
-
- The error is pretty funny, just write a program that will log off the board
- then just keep printing ERROR everytime it see's the remote modem print a
- string.. This can be fun, because the sysop will have to turn off his computer
- to hang up!
-
- The OK can be experimented with
-
- And last but not least CONNECT will just reconnect you to the board, except it
- takes about 20 seconds after you hit the CONNECT macro.
