  14.                    This document replaces FSC-0018 and FSC-0026

  18.    1. FTS-0001 (was FSC001-9,  FSC-0001) is the basic falback standard for
  19.       use on FidoNet.  All mailers must be able to perform this protocol
  20.       should other negotiations fail.
  21.  
  22.       FTS-0001 describes transmitted data structures, record and message
  23.       formats, as well as the actual transmission protocols used.

  25.    2. FTS-0002 (obsolete,  replaced by FTS-0005)

  27.    3. FTS-0003 (obsolete,  replaced by FTS-0006)

  29.    4. FTS-0004 (was FSC-0012) describes the transmitted form of EchoMail.
  30.       Lack of other detailed specifications led us to extract this document
  31.       from the documentation of a FidoNet utility, with the kind permission
  32.       of its author, Bob Hartman.

  34.       FTS-0004 describes echo history, topologies, and message formats.

  36.    5. FTS-0005 (replaces FTS-0002) defines the format of the distributed
  37.       FidoNet nodelist.

  39.    6. FTS-0006 (replaces FTS-0003,  updates FTS-0001) describes a
  40.       capability exchange protocol (YooHoo/2U2),  which allows two FidoNet
  41.       systems to dynamically negotiate (at the start of a session) which
  42.       of a list of protocols is to be used.  FTS-0006 is also known as the
  43.       WaZOO protocol,  and the WaZOO method of making file/update requests
  44.       is also defined here.

  46.       FTS-0006 is used as the base for protocol experimentation on
  47.       FidoNet.
