  16.    The Green Box generates useful tones such as COIN COLLECT, COIN RETURN, and
  17. RINGBACK.  These are the tones that ACTS or the TSPS operator would send to
  18. the CO when appropriate.  Unfortunately, the green box cannot be used at a 
  19. fortress station, but must be used by the CALLED party.  The tones (hz) are:
  20.  
  21.    COIN COLLECT      700  +  1100
  22.    COIN RETURN      1100  +  1700
  23.    RINGBACK          700  +  1700
  24.  
  25.    Before the called party sends any of these tones, an operator released
  26. signal should be sent to alert the MF detectors at the CO.  This can be done
  27. by sending 900 + 1500 Hz or a single 2600 Hz wink (90 ms) followed by a 60 ms
  28. gap and then the appropriate signal for at least 900 ms.  Also, do not forget
  29. that the initial rate is collected shortly before the 3 minute period is up.

  33.   We have taken this information and written a software green box for the Cat.

  35. After a lengthy pause to admire first our interesting club title page, please
  36. take a moment to marvel at the nice graphics used in the actual program.  You
  37. will then notice that there are four main options:
  38.  
  39.       AWAIT CALLER:  This option will set your system awaiting callers.  When
  40.                       someone calls, the Cat will answer the phone and send
  41.                       the predefined signals, pause, and then hang up.  You
  42.                       should notice the status line and indecators at the 
  43.                       upper left hand corner.  The status line shows you what
  44.                       is happening at a given time.  The indecators in the box
  45.                       at the upper left hand corner represent: 
  46.                       L=20  Length of signal (default is 20).
  47.                       C=00  Number of calls received.
  48.                       HUNG/PICK  The current phone status.
  49.                      The AWAIT CALLER option has several nice applications:
  50.                      1. Return your money to you when you call home.
  51.                      2. Collect money from anyone calling from a payphone
  52.                          so that they can't talk or anything. (nasty...)
  53.                      3. After it hangs up on them, they will wonder what was
  54.                          wrong with your phone.  When the payphone starts 
  55.                          ringing, they will wonder otherwise.

  57.   COLLECT CONTENTS:  This option will cause the contents of the "holding
  58.                       chamber" to be dumped into the "main vault".  It will
  59.                       also cause the payphone to begin demanding more money.
  60.    RETURN CONTENTS:  This option will cause the contents of the H.C. to be
  61.                       dumped into the coin return slot, and so returning them
  62.                       to the caller.

  64.  RINGBACK PAYPHONE:  This option will cause the CO to call the payphone the
  65.                       caller was calling from.

  71.     [D]ial (TOUCHTONE + BLUEBOX)
  72. [T]ones - Mix & create your own tones.
  73. [Q]uit - Again, you will be amazed at
  74.          the incredibly stupid graphics.
