  6. Date of Origin: First reported by James Berry in December, 1989.

  8. Place of Origin: Possibly Kent, England
  9.  
  10. Host Machine: PC compatibles.
  11.  
  12. Host Files: hard disk and floppy disk boot sectors.
  13.  
  14. OnScreen Symptoms: None. Infected boot sectors will contain these
  15. messages: "Welcome to the New Dungeon", "Chaos", and "Letz be cool
  16. guys".

  18. Increase in Size of Infected Files: n/a
  19.  
  20. Nature of Damage: Remains resident. Corrupts or overwrites boot sector,
  21. affects system run-time operation, corrupts data files, formats or
  22. erases all/part of disk.
  23.  
  24. Detected by: Scanv53+.
  25.  
  26. Removed by: MDisk, Cleanup, or the DOS SYS command.
  27.  
  28.      Chaos overwrites the boot sector, and flags the disk as being full of
  29. bad sectors upon activation, though these bad sectors are still
  30. readable. The activation criteria are unknown.
