- INTRODUCTION
-
- Thanks for downlading HHH.ZIP! This is my first FAQ, so give me a
- break here folks. Although this FAQ is for all versions, the monsters in this
- FAQ are about the Beta/Demo not the Registered version. Well, right now I
- would like to tell you a litle about me. I am a12 year old born in Tulsa,
- Oklahoma. I am really interested in PC's and hope to become the next John
- Romero :).
-
- COPYRIGHTS
-
- I don't know if I have to put this in here, but here goes:
-
- All Hexen artifacts and related items belong to Raven/id Software.
-
- WEAPONS
-
- Well, here we are! The acutal FAQ part of it! This part of this
- is broken down into 3 parts: Fighter, Cleric and Mage.
-
- Fighter
-
- Fist: The basic weapon of the Fighter class. I personally wouldn't rely
- on this weapon, but it is a good last defense.
-
- Timon's Axe: Not the very best weapon, but stronger then the Fist. It also
- can be used as a regular axe (Without the "Magic Aura" around it). It also
- has a longer range.
-
- Hammer of Retribution: A very cool weapon for the fighter, possibly the best
- in Deathmatch if you don't have the Quietus. You "throw" (It doesn't look
- likt it too much) the hammer, which is shielded buy some magic to make it
- more powerful, which causes major damage and explodes on impact. You can
- also use this weapon as a normal weapon when the magic runs out.
-
- Quietus: Now this is some sword! This sword, like almost all the other
- fighter's weapons, glows with a green magic and shoots out little "magic
- swords" when shot. Unfotanetly, however, when this weapons runs out of magic
- you can't use it as just a plain sword. This sword is very powerful and does
- major damage.
-
- Cleric
-
- Mace: The basic weapon of the Cleric. Some what powerful, but as with the
- Fighter, don't rely on it in the heat of combat.
-
- Serpent Staff: A cool weapon that sucks the energy out of people at close
- range! When hit with this weapon is DM, your screen turns green and it is
- hard to see. Sometimes the eye on this weapon blinks! Pretty cool, eh?
-
- Firestorm: Like every good id/Raven game, it MUST have some kind of fire
- weapon. Well, here it is! The ultimate fire flinger, as I like to call
- them. When you shoot this a line of fire shoots out, and makes a fire
- circle around the target. When you first use it it may look puny, but when
- in DeathMatch, Watch out! It is very poweful.
-
- Justifier: Here it is! Perhaps the best weapon in the game! It shoots
- out a white engery ball, and when it hits something it explodes into a bunch
- of spirits!!! In DM it is very useful because you cannot get away from this
- weapon without certain artifacts. The IOD (Icon of the Defender) is a very
- good tool against this weapon because when the spirits touch you they reverse
- and go after the one that fired the weapon, giving YOU the frag! The second
- best tactic against this weapon is the Chaos device, because the spirits will
- not come and getcha when you teleport. The worst tactic should only be used
- as a last resort. The DOR, (Disk of Repulsion) if fired carefully, can repel
- the spirits. They will come back at you, but if you keep hitting them they
- will eventually deteriorate into thin air and you are free- until he fires it
- again.
-
- Mage
-
- ElvenWand: The only weapon carried down from Heretic, this weapon is a
- little bit better in looks and power. Like all the other weapons you come
- with, don't rely on it for a good kill. You can get a good kill from this
- if you are a good sniper. I know when playing level 3 in Deathmatch I was
- a mage and got a couple kills by sniping at the other players.
-
- Frost Shards: A very awesome weapon!!! When you kill someone with this,
- they freeze into a bunch of ice. You can also blow them up by switching to
- another weapon. I like freezing people then pushing off a cliff, then I hear
- a big crack. I look down and see ice peices all over the place.
-
- Arc of Death: A very awesome lightning attack! This weapon goes through
- Windows and high platforms. When it someone is hit with this weapon, it
- stays with them unless they are wearing the speed boots. The lightning also
- looks very cool too.
-
- Bloodscourge: A very awesome weapon, this fiery skull fires a fireball that
- splits into two as it goes along. If you like setting your froes on fire,
- well, this is the best weapon! There isn't really a strategy to avoiding
- this weapon because it is really just a point-and-shoot weapon.
-
- Phew! That was a lot! Time for some more stuff!
-
- CHEATS
-
- This is the cheat codes for BETA/DEMO ONLY. Sorry, folks, I don't
- have the reg ones unless I look onto another FAQ, which I don't really want
- to do.
-
- BGOKEY: God mode
- CRHINEHART: All weapons
- RJOHNSON: No clipping
- MRAYMONDJUDY: All Keys
- BRAFFEL: Full inventory
- SGURNO: Full Health
- EBIESSMAN: Pig mode (Awesome!!!)
- REVEAL: All map
- PLIPO#: Change class (0=Fighter, 1=Cleric, 2=Mage)
- BPELLETIER##: Level warp
- TMOORE: All puzzle peices. This code doesn't work well in the Beta/Demo
- CSTIKA: Destroys all enemies (Bwahaha!!)
- PMACARTHER: Version Info
- JSUMWALT: X Y coordinates
- MWAGABAZA##: Run a script
- KSCHILDER: Sound debug
- INIT: Restart level
- RAMBO: Try it and get a surprise :)
- QUICKEN: Try this one 3 times in a row :)
-
- OK, that's all of em. In Deathmatch, if you are gonna die and
- rather suicide, hit the [F5] key and press the [Y] key.
-
- MONSTERS
-
- OK this is all the Monsters that I know.
-
- Eberrin: These brown little freaks with two heads are a constant nuicance.
- They are easily destroyed, but when they are fighting with others, fight
- hard or get pounded. Hexen is tough, fight hard. (Little Parody there)
-
- Fire Gargoyles: Little flying "bats" that fire three fire balls at you.
- They move fats and are especially hard to kill with the Arc of Death.
-
- Horsemen: I do not really know what they are called, but they are half a
- horse and half a human. You won't see this one in the Beta/Demo, but some
- people may create WADs with them in there. Better watch out! If you fire
- something at the head on, they will raise their sheild and block it.
-
-
- FREQUENTLY ASKED
- QUESTIONS
-
- Q: How do I avoid the Justifier in DeathMatch?
-
- A: Well, get the IOD (Icon of the Defender) and use it when you hear the
- Justifier being fired. When the spirits hit you they will go and attack the
- person that fired it. If you don't have the IOD, use the Chaos Device and
- get out of there. If you don't have either of those, and you do have the DOR
- (Disk of Repulsion), use that. If you have good aim the spirits will be
- pushed away, although they will come back. If you keep them away, they will
- finally deterioate and you will be safe. You must have A LOT of DORs for
- this technique to work.
-
- Q: I opened the swiveling door in level 1, now what?
-
- A: Go through the swiveling door, turn left, and go up the stairs where
- there will be three stained glass windows. Look for one with a picture
- of a Fighter on it and break it. There is a secret passage behind it.
-
- Q: OK, I did what you said, got the steel key, and rang the bell. What
- next?
-
- A: Well go back to the room with the swiveling door, and the gate
- that was gaurding the red smoke (which is a teleport) is gone. Step into
- the Red smoke and you will be teleported to the end where the Ethereal
- Transport, steo into that, and on to the Seven Portals.
-
- Q: OK I am in the Gaurdian of Ice, and I hit the switch. I see that a
- sword is pointing to a cirlce, but when I step into the others they all
- collapse and kill me. Should I go into it?
-
- A: Yes. Once you step into it you will be teleported BACK to the
- Seven Portals, where you enter the Gaurdian of Fire.
-
- Q: I am in the Gaurdian of Fire level, and it said "You here the faint
- cracking of ice" (Beta) or "One section of the puzzle has been solved"
- (Demo).
-
- A: Unfortanetly, you can'y do anything else in the Beta/Demo from there
- except get the Fire Mask, but that doesn't do anything for you.
-
- Q: I entered a teleport and it said "Access denied - Demo (Beta)". What's
- wrong??
-
- A: Don't worry, nothing is wrong. This is just how far the Beta/Demo goes
- :(. You can still walk around by clipping through the walls (Look in the
- section "CHEATS") and look around. When I get the full version, which will
- be soon, I will right the end to this FAQ.
-
- Well, that's all folks! This CAN be used for the Registered game
- but is intended for the Beta/Demo. Have fun!
