  10. Wingman Messages:
  11.  
  12.      You will hear messages from your wingman, other allied
  13. pilots, and from the AWACS plane during a campaign or Red Flag
  14. mission.  Sometimes they will be in response to an inquiry or
  15. command from you and other times they will just let you know what
  16. they are doing.  These messages will only come from other pilots in
  17. your flight, and they are not random messages.  They indications
  18. and observations from your wingmen that they want you to hear.
  19.  
  20. You will hear these messages if you are using a Soundblaster card,
  21. an Ad Lib card, or the IBM PC speaker.  You must have EMS to hear
  22. these sounds.

  25. This is a list of the messages you may hear and what they mean.
  26.  
  27. » Negative. Pigeons to home plate - From AWACS. You have tried to
  28.   advance your waypoint beyond the last setting (your home base).
  29.  
  30. » Kilo Mike Alpha - A message from your wingman if you ask him to
  31.   do something really stupid, like "Break Low" when he's flying at
  32.   100 ft AGL.
  33.  
  34. » I'm picking up a spike - Your wingman is detecting another plane
  35.   or ground unit with its radar aimed at you.
  36.  
  37. » Stranger - An unexpected friendly aircraft is in the area.
  38.  
  39. » Unable - Unable to comply with your command.
  40.  
  41. » Copy fence check - Your wingman has made sure all his weapons and
  42.   systems are ready for combat.
  43.  
  44. » Be advised, I've gone winchester - Your wingman is out of AA/AG
  45.   weapons.
  46.  
  47. » Copy disengage, will resume - Will disengage and resume
  48.   formation.
  49.  
  50. » Clean, clear, and naked - Nothing on radar, nothing visual, and 
  51.   nothing is on the Threat Warning Indicator.

  53. » Fox one - Your wingman is firing an AIM-120 radar-guided missile.
  54.  
  55. » Fox two - Your wingman is firing an AIM-9P Sidewinder missile.
  56.  
  57. » Fox two mike - Your wingman is firing an AIM-9M Sidewinder
  58.   missile.
  59.  
  60. » Atoll! Atoll! - A rear-aspect heat-seeking missile has been fired
  61.   at your wingman.
  62.  
  63. » Magic! Magic! - An all-aspect heat-seeking missile has been fired
  64.   at your wingman.
  65.  
  66. » Apex inbound! - An Apex passive radar homing missile is inbound.
  67.  
  68. » Guns! Guns! Guns! - Your wingman is firing his M61A1 Cannon.
  69.  
  70. » Flame out - Your wingman has been hit and has engine damage or is
  71.   totally out of fuel.
  72.  
  73. » Bandit! Bandit! - Enemy aircraft sighted.  This message is
  74.   accompanied by info on its direction.

  76. » Singer high! - A SAM has been launched.
  77.  
  78. » Request you check joker - Your wingman is running out of fuel and
  79.   wants to let you know that you should be aware of your own fuel 
  80.   situation.
  81.  
  82. » Be advised. Fuel is low - Your wingman has only enough fuel to 
  83.   return to base.  Any action other than returning to base could
  84.   be cause for a flame-out.

  87. If you are getting overwhelmed by radio chatter, you can tell all 
  88. your wingmen to shut up by pressing [SHIFT]-[R].
