  18.                                CHEAT CODES
  19.  
  20.         To enter a cheat code during a mission, just type in the prefix LA 
  21.         (for LucasArts) followed immediately by a specific code word 
  22.         (shown here in capital letters). To achieve invincibility, for 
  23.         example, type LAIMLAME. To engage more than one superpower at a time, 
  24.         just keep typing LA and the code word. To eliminate an activated 
  25.         cheat, just retype the code. For example, if you want to remove 
  26.         invincibility once you have it, type LAIMLAME.

  28. WEAPON, SHIELD, AND ENERGY CODES

  30. IMLAME          Invincibility
  31.                         
  32.                 This code is self-explanatory. Type in this puppy and 
  33.                 you are invulnerable. You are also a lame excuse for 
  34.                 a Rebel warrior, hence the code name.
  35.  
  36. RANDY           Weapons Supercharge
  37.                         
  38.                 This code momentarily puts any weapon on steroids, 
  39.                 dramatically increasing its fire rate. In normal 
  40.                 play, the faster rate lasts just 30 seconds once you 
  41.                 start firing.

  43. POSTAL          Fully Stocks Your Weapons, Ammunition, 
  44.                 Shields, Energy, and Health 
  45.                         
  46.                 How does it feel to have the right weapon in every 
  47.                 situation with all the ammo you need? If 
  48.                 invincibility is lame, this is just one notch higher.
  49.                 You're mailing it in if you use this code a lot.

  51. TELEPORTING AND RECONNAISSANCE CODES

  53. CBS             Map Supermode
  54.                         
  55.                 Perhaps the toughest part of Dark Forces is figuring 
  56.                 out where you are on any given mission. Use this 
  57.                 cheat to instantly access finely detailed maps of the 
  58.                 entire territory, complete with secret doorways and 
  59.                 defender positions.

  61. NTFH            Teleportation
  62.                         
  63.                 With a map on your screen, you can hold down the "-" 
  64.                 key (to the left of "1" on most keyboards) and move a 
  65.                 red cursor to any position on the map with your arrow 
  66.                 keys. When type in this code, you are instantly 
  67.                 teleported to that location. There is one limitation, 
  68.                 however: You can't teleport while you're moving. If 
  69.                 you're riding a conveyor belt, for example, or 
  70.                 floating down a sludge river, you must first find a 
  71.                 fixed position before you can teleport.

  80. DATA            Map Coordinate Information
  81.                         
  82.                 Use this code in conjunction with the Map Supermode 
  83.                 and Teleportation cheats. It places map coordinates 
  84.                 on your screen that change when you hold down the "-" 
  85.                 key (to the left of "l " on most keyboards) and move 
  86.                 your red cursor around the map. It's a nice tool to 
  87.                 use when you want to guide online friends to 
  88.                 different areas in the game.

  90. REOLITE         Pondering Toggle
  91.                         
  92.                 What the heck is pondering? I don't really know, but 
  93.                 if you type in this code, it freezes all defenders in 
  94.                 their tracks but leaves all other gameplay 
  95.                 unaffected. It's a great device for scoping out an 
  96.                 area before you actually engage it. I think of it as 
  97.                 spy mode and use it a lot. Enemies die but don't fall 
  98.                 until pondering is turned back on.

  100. POGO            Disables Height Checking
  101.                         
  102.                 This code levels everything out on a mission so that 
  103.                 you don't have to jump up or down or take elevators 
  104.                 or lifts. Type it in and you can just cruise to where 
  105.                 you have to jump.
  106.  
  107. BUG             Instant Weight Reduction
  108.                         
  109.                 This code makes you wafer thin so that you can slip 
  110.                 past obstacles that you have no right to pass by 
  111.                 under normal gameplay.

  115. SKIP            Jumps to Next Mission
  116.                         
  117.                 Tired of Talay? Gagging on Gromas? This code lumps 
  118.                 you instantly from any mission to the next one.

  120.         The following codes let you move to any mission you want. From within
  121.         any mission, type LA and one of the following code words to leapfrog
  122.         to the start of that mission.
