- The Lemmings Chronicles
- Classic Tribe
-
- As in past Lemmings games, there is probably more than a single solution
- to many levels. These worked for me. You are urged to make every effort to
- come up with your own solutions before resorting to the ones below.
-
- Work to rescue as many trapped Lemmings as possible. When the 30th level is
- complete, you must have saved a MINIMUM of 50 Lemmings. Any less and you
- will have to replay all levels starting with the first one where you didn't
- effect a successful rescue. There are more than enough trapped Lemmings to
- get you to the 50 mark. Some are just harder to rescue than others.

- It is easy to get discouraged. The levels get increasingly difficult. But each
- time you repeat a level, you will get a little farther than the last time you
- tried. Eventually you will succeed, even in the most difficult circumstances.

- Level 1
-
- When the leader reaches the bottom, but well before he enters the "pit" on
- right, make him a Blocker. All those who follow will turn to the left when
- they reach him and go to the Exit. Release the Blocker by making him walk,
- then immediately reverse his direction with another walk command so he too
- can go to the Exit.
-
- Results: 20 Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 2
-
- The leader will move all the way to the left and drop down to where he picks
- up a Spade tool. Leave him there for now. When the 2nd lemming reaches the
- bottom and picks up the bag of bricks, make him turn around to the left. When
- he reaches the edge of the pool of water, have him start laying bricks
- straight across the pool. When he's finished, have the Lemming with the
- Spade dig straight down twice. All the Lemmings will reach the exit.

- Results: 22 Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 3
-
- This is the first level with a real challenge. Make the 3rd Lemming a
- Blocker. The Leader will pick up a Bag of Bricks. There are four "zappers"
- in this level that will have to be neutralized - 2 on the upper level and 2 on
- the lower. Plus there is one spot near the exit that will have to be covered
- over with a brick. Since a Bag of Bricks contains only 8 bricks, you'll have
- to ration them carefully. As the leader gets to the 1st zapper, make him lay
- 1 brick. (As he starts to lay the brick, make him stop by clicking the left
- mouse button again, then point a red arrow down and to the right). Have him
- repeat this (lay one brick under the 2nd zapper). When he reaches the wall on
- the right, make him a Blocker.

- Now have a Lemming Jump over the Blocker. He will pick up the Spade on his
- way to the where the Leader waits. Before he gets there and just as he
- arrives over the raised platform below and on the right, make him dig straight
- down. When he walks to the wall on his right, make him a Blocker.
-
- Now release the Blocker above who has the Bag of Bricks. He will drop down
- and head to his left. When he drops into the "pit" below, he will have 2
- more "zappers" to deal with in the same manner as the ones above, i.e., lay
- one brick under each zapper to neutralize it. When he gets past the 2nd
- zapper have him lay one more brick at the left edge of the pit so he can get
- out. He will walk left towards the Exit. Before he gets there, there's a
- gap in the walkway that has small grey "bricks" in it. He needs to lay
- one of his own bricks to cover this "gap". If you miss and lay a brick in the
- wrong place, turn him around and try again. (Each time a lemming steps on one
- of those little grey "bricks" it disappears. And soon they're all gone and
- the remaining lemmings will fall through to their death).

- Results: All (22) Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 4
-
- This looks almost impossible at first. In addition to the 10 Lemmings who
- drop, there are 2 trapped in this level that need to be released and saved.
-
- Start by making the 3rd Lemming a Blocker. The Leader will pick up a Shimmier
- tool. However, he really needs the Bag of Bricks first. So before he can drop
- down, turn him around to the left. Immediately have him Drop the Shimmier
- tool. He will pick up the bag of bricks. When he drops down to the pipe over
- the pool of water, wait until he reaches the end of the pipe, then make him
- start laying bricks in a southeasterly direction, but only 2. (As soon as he
- lays the 1st brick, click your mouse on him so he will lay only 2 bricks).
- Now have him continue laying the next 6 bricks straight across to the right
- towards the post. As soon as he lays the last brick, make him Jump over to the
- Post and head for the Exit.

- Now make any Lemming Jump over the Blocker. He will pick up the Shimmier tool.
- Have him Shimmy across to where the trapped Lemmings are waiting. Because he
- has the Shimmier, he won't pick up the Spade. When he next turns back to his
- left, have him drop the Shimmier and proceed to pick up the Spade. Turn him
- back around to the right and dig through the 1st green post.
-
- The 3 Lemmings will now head for the brick bridge and each one will have to
- be Jumped across to the post and will head for the Exit. (If any of the 3
- Lemmings are too close to each other, either turn them back to the right, or
- make them Blockers temporarily).
-
- Now free the remaining Lemmings one at a time by having them Jump one at a
- time over the Blocker and then Jump each one across the gap at the end of
- the brick bridge, then free the Blocker and have him Jump also.
-
- Result: 24 Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 5
-
- Featuring a Lemme Fatale. Make the 3rd Lemming a Blocker. When the leader
- drops off the landing platform turn him around to the left and let him
- collect all the Bags of Bricks. Now turn him back to the right and find a
- spot for him to start laying bricks to his right so as to close off the
- path to the area where the Lemme Fatale is "plying her trade".

- When the leader turns back to the left, have him lay bricks up and to the left
- (northwest) starting from a point that will bring him fairly close to the Exit
- platform. Just before he reaches the level of the Exit platform (one brick),
- have him change direction to go directly west. When he gets almost all the
- way to the left end of the display, have him reverse direction to his right
- and immediately build a vertical brick pile at least 3 bricks high, then make
- him walk all the way back to where he has to turn back to the left. At this
- point, make him a Blocker.
-
- Now release the remaining Lemmings by making the initial Blocker into a
- Walker. When the lead lemming gets within an inch or so of the vertical pile
- of bricks, make him a Blocker. Have each of the followers Jump over him so
- they will be trapped for now. Turn each one around so he doesn't go all the
- way back to the left and return before Jumping him over the Blocker.
- Now release the Blocker with the Bag of Bricks and when he gets back to the
- left and turns back to the right, have him lay bricks over to the Exit
- platform. When the brick platform is complete, release the final Blocker so
- everyone can go home.

- Results: 24 Lemmings saved.

- Level 6
-
- Start by making the leader into a Blocker just to the right of the landing
- area. The next Lemming will pick up the Bag of Bricks. Click on your right
- mouse button to highlight him in red. Make him Jump over the Blocker and
- when he reaches the right end of the landing plat, have him lay two bricks
- southeast, then make him a walker. He will now drop safely to the lower
- plat and proceed to the right. When he reaches the next gap, have him lay
- down his last 6 bricks straight to the right to close the gap. He will pick
- up another Bag of Bricks shortly. When he reaches the next gap, have
- him lay down bricks in a northeast direction to bridge the gap up to the
- next plat. There's a spot on this plat that will open a hole as soon as
- he walks across it. When he gets to the other side, have him lay down his
- last 2 bricks starting at a point just to the left of the block structure
- ahead of him that has a Bag of Bricks embedded in it. As soon as starts
- to cross the block structure, turn him back to the left. Be sure you have
- him Jump the small hole that was opened up. When he gets back down to the
- bottom platform, turn him back to the right and make him a Blocker
- immediately.

- Now release the Blocker on the landing plat and let all the Lemmings walk
- down to the lower Platform. While they're walking, click on the right
- mouse button somewhere in open space so as to identify the Lemming who
- is carrying the Spade. When all the Lemmings have gathered near the Blocker
- on the lower plat, make the Lemming at the rear (not the red one) into a
- Blocker. (If anyone fails to be caught between the 2 blockers, turn him/
- them around and have them Jump into the area between the 2 Blockers.
-
- Next, have the red Lemming (with the Spade) Jump over the Blocker on the
- right. Make sure he Jumps the small gap beyond the stairs on the right.
- As soon as he reaches the top of the 2 bricks next to the block structure
- with the embedded Bag of Bricks, make him dig straight to the right. He
- will pass the bricks and turn around before picking them up. Turn him
- back around to the right and when he reaches the next gap, have him lay
- all 8 bricks straight over to the Exit platform. He will come up short so
- you will have to Jump him across to the Exit.
-
- Now go back and release several Lemmings by having them Jump over the
- Blocker on the right. Space them out about an inch apart if you can.
- Release no more than 3 or 4 of them. Have each of them Jump over the 2 gaps
- that they will come to, then go back and release some more and make sure
- they Jump when necessary. Go back and release both Blockers and carefully
- make certain the remaining Lemmings Jump where necessary.

- If you find that time is getting short, use multiple Jumps to speed their
- progress.
-
- Result: 24 Lemmings saved
-
- Level 7
-
- When the 2nd Lemming lands, he will walk to the left. Make him a Blocker
- just to the left of the landing area. Make another Lemming Jump over the
- Blocker. He will pick up the Shimmier tool. Let him Shimmy across the
- first pool of water. He will drop when he runs out of "Shimmies". From here
- he must Jump over several pools in succession before he gets to the next
- tool, a Sucker. Have him use the Sucker to climb the wall of the pedestal
- with the 2 Bags of Bricks on it. When he reaches the left side of the
- pedestal, make him Jump across the water and immediately drop his Sucker
- tool. He will pick up both Bags of Bricks. As soon as he does, turn him
- around to the right and have him build brick stairs to the top of the
- pedestal. He will collect 2 more Bags of Bricks from the top of the
- pedestal. When he gets to the right side, have him construct stairs down
- the right side (if he drops off the right side of the pedestal before you
- can start him building, you'll have to have him build the stairs when he
- returns).

- Have him build brick bridges to cross all the water pools ahead of him.
- When he completes all the bridges, release the Blocker. (If he still has
- to build stairs up to the pedestal, then wait and release the Blocker
- after the builder has had time to walk almost all the way back to where
- he will start building the stairs.)
-
- Results: 24 Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 8
-
- This is a fairly large level, but not too difficult. Start by making the
- 3rd Lemming a Blocker just to the right of the landing area. The leader
- will continue to the right where there is an umbrella. He will have to
- Jump across to pick it up. Let him continue by dropping down a short,
- narrow shaft and turning back to the left. When he reaches the wide and
- deep shaft, let him fall (his umbrella will allow him to land safely). At
- the bottom of the large shaft, he will pick up 32 Sucker tools. Have him
- use the Suckers to climb the left side of the large shaft (if you miss
- and he turns right, turn him back around and try again).

- When he reaches the top of the shaft and walks left, have him drop the
- Sucker tool just before he gets to the Bag of Bricks. He will pick up
- the bricks and turn back to the right. Have him use the bricks to build
- a bridge across the top of the large shaft. Turn him around as soon as he
- completes the bridge. He'll next pick up a Spade tool. Have him dig
- straight down. Now leave him be until he picks up the next Spade tool.
- Just beyond this point, when he reaches a green wall, have him dig upwards
- (to the Northeast). He will come out on a green platform.

- Before he can drop down to go to the Exit, have him Jump the gap to a set
- of stairs. When he reaches the top of the stairs, turn him around and have
- him Jump the gap to another set of stairs. When he gets to the top and
- walks all the way to the left, have him dig through and release the
- trapped Lemming.
-
- Now leave these 2 and go back and release the Blocker back at the start.
- When the blocker gets to the short, narrow shaft, make him Jump across to
- the other side, pick up the Spade tool and free another Lemming. Now wait
- until everybody reaches the Exit.
-
- Result: 26 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 9
-
- Begin by making the 3rd Lemming a Blocker to the right of the landing area.
- The leader will drop to a grey block platform. Every step he takes will
- remove part of the platform. When he gets to the middle of the platform,
- continually reverse his direction so he ultimately walks his way down thru
- the center shaft to the platform beneath were he will pick up a Sucker tool
- to use to climb up to the next platform on the right. Here he will pick up
- a number of Bags of Bricks. Have him build some stairs to his left up to the
- area where there are green steps (underneath of which is a trapped Lemming).
-
- After he walks up the green steps a short ways, turn him around and when he
- gets to the right edge of the first grey block he comes to, have him build
- a brick stairway to the right. As soon as he reaches the top where the grey
- post is, turn him around immediately before he builds over the top.
-
- When he walks back up the green steps again and gets to the edge of the last
- grey block, have him build a bridge over to where the rest of the Lemmings
- are trapped behind the Blocker. The bridge will have to drop down 3 or 4 steps
- somewhere in order to meet the other side. When the bridge is complete,
- release the Blocker.
-
- Whoever reaches the Spade tool first (after the Leader) should be turned
- around and dig out the trapped Lemming. All Lemmings will reach the Exit
- safely.
-
- Results: 27 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 10
-
- This level has a tough start. Each Lemming that drops down will go
- alternately right and left. The first 4 Lemmings will have to be made Blockers.
- The first Lemming will go to the right. When he gets to the 2nd grey step to
- his right, make him a Blocker. The 2nd Lemming will go to the left, but ignore
- him for the moment. Make the 3rd Lemming, who will go to the right, a Blocker
- on the first step down to his right. Now immediately go over to the left and
- make the 2nd Lemming a Blocker on the 3rd step down and immediately make the
- next Lemming who goes to the left, a Blocker on the step above the previous
- Lemming on the left.

- Now release the lowest Lemming on the left. He will move left and pick up a
- Spade tool. When he gets to the green post on the left have him dig through
- it and drop down. He will get to 3 green posts and be momentarily stopped.
- Here it gets tricky. Have him dig thru the 3 green posts and immediately
- reverse his direction and have him dig once through the green post on his
- left, then dig down once followed by digging left once more. In other words,
- he needs to zig-zag left, down, left to clear a path. He will get to
- the bottom and have to dig to the right through one more green post.

- He will now pick up a Bag of bricks. Have him bridge to the right across
- the pool of water. On the other side of the pool there is a Zapper overhead
- that he will have to stop just in front of and use his last 2 bricks to
- neutralize it. As soon as he's laid his last brick, make him a Blocker.
-
- Now go back up and release the lower Blocker on the 2nd step down on the
- right side. He will proceed all the way to the bottom where he will pick
- up a Bag of Bricks. Have him build a bridge across the pool straight ahead.
- When he finishes, he will be turned around to the right by the Blocker
- ahead of him. He will need to lay his last 2 bricks across the pool of water
- just ahead of the Exit.
-
- Next, release the Blocker back under the Zapper. Go back up top and release
- the Blocker on the left. Now go release the last Blocker on the right. As
- soon as the Lemmings reach the platform where the trapped Lemmings are,
- turn one of them back to the left to pick up the Spade tool and have him
- release the trapped Lemmings. Everyone will reach the Exit safely.

- Result: 29 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 11
-
- The lead Lemming will walk to the right when he lands. Let him walk a short
- distance then make him a Blocker. Now make one of the other Lemmings Jump
- up on the stairs to the left. When he gets to the top of the stairs and
- picks up both Bags of Bricks and turns around, have him build a brick stairs
- up to the right. He should use no more or less than 5 bricks. When he comes
- back down the stairs, let him drop his bricks over by the wall. When he
- reclimbs the brick stairs he'll pick up the Spade tool. Have him dig through
- both green posts to free himself and the trapped Lemming.
-
- The trapped Lemming will retrieve the Bag of Bricks. Click your right mouse
- button on this Lemming so he will stand out. When he drops down to where the
- remaining Lemmings are, make him Jump over the Blocker. When he reaches the
- wide pit, have him build a brick bridge straight across. He will run out of
- bricks just before he gets across and drop to a small shelf below where he
- will obtain some more bricks. Have him bridge over to the left this time
- after which he will drop down once more and get some more bricks again. Have
- him bridge across to the right this time after which he will drop down and
- pick up a Spade tool. As soon as he picks up the Spade, he will turn to the
- left. Turn him back around and have him dig to the right and mount the
- stairs on the other side.

- At the top of the stairs is a grey block in the platform which he should
- walk back and forth across several times until he drops down to where he
- will obtain more Spade tools. At this time you must make him dig in a
- zig-zag pattern downwards to reach the platform at the bottom and then
- on to the Exit. During the zig-zag digging, don't let him dig too far
- straight down before changing his digging to the other side of the shaft
- so the Lemmings who follow will not be smashed by dropping too far.
-
- Result: 30 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 12
-
- Start by making the 3rd Lemming a Blocker to the right of the landing area.
- Have the leader dig straight down the shaft on the right side of the landing
- platform. At the bottom of the shaft is another Spade tool which he will
- pick up. Have the leader dig to the left (west) where he will pickup one
- more Spade tool.
-
- Next, he should dig to the northwest (up-angle). When he comes out on the
- platform above, have him Drop the Spade tool. He will then continue west
- and pickup some bricks. Have him use the bricks to build a bridge across
- the pool of green water. As soon as he completes the bridge, turn him back
- to the right to retrieve the Spade tool.
-
- Now, turn him back to the left. He will drop down to the platform where
- there's a Sucker tool (he won't need it). Turn him back to the left. When
- he reaches the wall, have him dig straight down. Have him Drop the Spade
- tool somewhere along the way. When he reaches the bottom, he will pick up
- the Hadokens. When the Potato beasts are not near, have him Jump over the
- small grey obstacle. He should release 2 Hadokens to kill the Potato Beasts.
-
- Next, release the Blocker back at the start. Each Lemming will have to Jump
- over the small grey obstacle at the bottom in order to reach the Exit.
-
- Results: 30 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 13
-
- There are 3 trapped Lemmings. Immediately go to the one to the right of the
- Entrance and as soon as he picks up some bricks, make him a Blocker.
-
- With that out of the way, proceed by letting every Lemming go his own way. The
- lead Lemming on the left will pick up some bricks just ahead of a small pit.
- Have him Jump across that pit and make him a Blocker immediately. On the other
- side of the barrier to the right of him is a Lemming carrying a Spade tool.
- Have him dig through the barrier and Jump over the Blocker.
-
- Go up to the trapped Lemming above and release him. When he gets up the steps
- on the right and is at the edge, have him Drop his Bricks over the edge, then
- turn him back to the left and make him a Blocker again.
-
- Release the Blocker with the bricks and have him continue to the right to pick
- up more bricks including the ones Dropped by the trapped Lemming above. Now
- have him stack bricks straight up next to the wall. When he is even with the
- top of the wall, have him change direction and lay one more brick to the
- right.
-
- Let him drop down to the other trapped Lemming and when he is near the right
- side of the platform, have him build 2 or 3 steps to the right so they can get
- off the platform. Now go release the Blocker up on top.
-
- Next, go to the pit where everyone else is crowded in and click on your right
- mouse button to locate the Lemming carrying the Spade tool. Position him to
- dig straight down wherever there's a green block on the floor, then out to
- the right through a green post. One of the Lemmings will pick up a Sucker
- tool. Click the right mouse button is space so you can find him and have him
- climb over the obstacle ahead. He will next pickup a Spade tool. Turn him
- back to the left and have him dig through the obstacle. All Lemmings will
- then proceed to the Exit on the platform below.

- Results: 33 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 14
-
- There are 2 Lemmings who are not with the main group.
-
- Start by letting the Lemming at the bottom pick up all the Sucker tools. When
- he has finished, the Psycho Buzzard will be hovering above waiting for him.
- Have him Jump to get passed the Buzzard's claws and continue over to the wall.
- When he gets there, have him start climbing.
-
- Have the Lemming on top Jump over the small obstacle at the left side of his
- platform and pickup the bricks. Have him start building stairs down to the
- wall on the left from the left side of his platform. Have him pause just
- before laying the last brick until the climber can get by him, then have him
- lay the last brick, thus saving the climber when he falls. Locate the
- climber, have him Jump over the small obstacle on the platform above, then
- climb the wall on the right to where the Bomb and the Spade tool are.
-
- Have him pick up the Bomb, turn back to the left and Drop it over the using the
- Drop skill. Immediately, turn him back to the right and have him get the Spade
- tool and leave the platform this time. When he is back down, have him Drop the
- Spade tool, go back and pick up the Bomb tool and place it next to the wall
- on the right where it can go off and carve out a small crater.
-
- The Lemming will go back and pick up the Spade tool and when he turns back to
- the right, he should dig straight down next to the wall and when he falls
- through, have him dig straight to the right to go to the Exit.
-
- Now go back and have the last Lemming Jump over the small obstacle up on the
- platform so he can Exit also.
-
- Results: 35 Lemmings saved.
-
- Level 15
-
- This level might have been labeled "Jumping Jacks or Lemmings". The really
- hard part about this level is that you have to make 20 Lemmings Jump across
- a gap (normally would not be considered difficult except for the stepdown
- preceding the Jump). As each Lemming walks to the right on the landing plat,
- he will drop down to a platform on the right end of which is a single step
- down before dropping off into space. If you want to save all the Lemmings,
- you must get all 20 to Jump this gap over to where there's a Spade tool
- waiting for the first successful Jumper. The key to a successful Jump is to
- make the Jump happen just as each Lemming steps off the main platform down
- to the single stepdown on the right end. If you start them Jumping too early,
- they will miss. Too late and they won't Jump at all.

- Position your mouse cross-hair at the right edge of the platform just ahead
- of the stepdown. As each Lemming starts to step off, click the mouse on him
- and he will step down and then Jump safely.
-
- After all 20 Lemmings have made the Jump, press the right mouse button and
- locate a Lemming who has all 24 bricks. Wherever he is turn him around to
- walk right (if he isn't already walking right) and when he gets within 2
- steps of the top where the bricks were picked up, have him build a brick
- bridge up to the platform where the 3 Lemmings are trapped. When one of the
- trapped Lemmings picks up the Spade tool on the upper platform, click the
- right mouse button on him to identify him. When he gets back down the brick
- stairs and steps on the platform below, make him dig straight down.
-
- Now locate the other Lemming with a Spade tool and when he gets to where he
- is directly over a platform below that is not too far down, have him dig
- straight down. This will allow all Lemmings to travel safely to the Exit.
-
- Results: 38 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 16
-
- There are 2 entrances for this level. Start at the top Entrance. Make the 1st
- Lemming who walks to the right a Blocker. Have another Lemming Jump over him
- and pick up the Shimmier and Shimmy across the gap (notice the bricks dropping
- to the platform below as he Shimmies across). After he picks up the bricks,
- have him turn to the left and build a bridge across the gap, then have him
- turn back to the right and Drop the bricks before proceeding.
-
- Go to the platform below and locate (right mouse button) the Lemming carrying
- the bricks. Have him build stairs to the left up to the top of the green
- obstacle (be careful not to trap any Lemmings beneath the stairs).
-
- Go up and release the Blocker.
-
- Go down to the platform where the 2 Lemmings are trapped. When a Lemming picks
- up the Spade Tools, have him dig down through the green area at the left end
- of the platform.
-
- Go now to the platform below and make the first Lemming to arrive a Blocker
- on the flat area of the platform.
-
- Find a Lemming not carrying any tools and have him Jump over the Blocker. He
- will proceed to pick up the 4 Hadokens and continue down to the bottom. While
- waiting for him, release the Blocker.
-
- The Leader will proceed to where the Potato Beast is patrolling back and forth.
- You need to time your arrival when the Beast is away from the left end of his
- pit (reverse the Lemming a few times if necessary). When the leader drops
- into the pit, have him Kill the beast and proceed to the Exit. The remaining
- Lemmings will be along shortly.
-
- Results: 40 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 17
-
- A Lemming will start up the stairs to the left of the landing area. The next
- Lemming to come behind him should be made a Blocker.
-
- Have the leader Jump over the grey block at the left end of the top platform
- and when he comes to the Bricks, have him build 2 bridges over the pools of
- water ahead of him.
-
- The leader will pick up another set of bricks. Have him bridge the gap in
- front of him. When he reaches the left end of the platform, have him Drop
- the bricks, then turn him back to the right before he drops down. He will
- retrieve the Umbrella. Turn him back to the left. When he drops down and
- reaches his bricks and picks them up, have him build straight up 2 bricks
- (only) high, then make him walk to the right.
-
- Have him bridge the two gaps to his right and proceed on his own. Go and
- release the Blocker back at the landing area.
-
- When the leader gets down to where the green post is, have him dig through
- it and head for the Exit. His friends will be along shortly.
-
- Results: 40 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 18
-
- Set up a Blocker behind the leader as he walks to the right. When the leader
- picks up an umbrella, turn him back to the left and have him Drop the umbrella
- further from the edge. Immediately turn him back to the right and have him
- Jump over the small gap. On the other side he will pick up some bricks. Let him
- go a short distance, then turn him around to the left and have him build a
- brick stairs to the left starting where the bricks were before he picked them
- up.
-
- Now have another Lemmings Jump over the Blocker and pickup the umbrella. He
- will drop thru the gap and turn left to pickup the Hadokens. He'll have to
- Jump over the small grey obstacle to kill the Potato Beast. Now have him drop
- the remaining Hadokens as soon as the Beast dies. Next, he'll pickup a Spade
- tool. Have him dig straight down through the LEFT side of the green blocks.
-
- When he reaches the bottom and picks up the bricks, have him Jump beyond the
- Exit door and build a bridge across the pool of water.
-
- Click on your right mouse button to highlight the Lemming with the Spade tool
- and have him dig down through the green blocks beneath him in the landing
- area. Make sure everyone else goes with him and don't forget the Blocker.
-
- Have the digger dig through the green post at the bottom.
-
- Results: 40 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 19
-
- Set the leader as a Blocker to the right of the landing area and have another
- Lemming Jump over him and pick up the bricks. He should build some stairs at
- an up-angle (NE) from the end of the landing platform. The brick supply will
- be exhausted before he gets to the platform above, so you will have to have
- him Jump over to the platform.
-
- At the right end of the platform is an umbrella. But before he gets there,
- there's a red button just ahead of the umbrella. Be sure he Jumps over it or
- he will be crushed by a huge boulder. When he picks up the umbrella, he will
- drop down to ultimately pick up a Shimmy tool. After he does, turn him back
- to the left and have him Shimmy across the gap.
-
- Now have him Jump over the gap where there are 2 trapped Lemmings waiting to
- be rescued. Watch out for the Psycho Buzzard overhead. If he is nearby, have
- the leader walk back and forth until the Buzzard has passed to the right.
- When all is safe, have the leader walk to the top of the stairs on his left
- and when he reaches the top have him build straight about half the distance
- to the landing platform, then have him build straight left over to the wall.
-
- After he finishes, if the Buzzard is getting close, have the leader wait until
- the Buzzard has turned back to the right. Then release him so he can go join
- his trapped friends.
-
- When the Buzzard is safely moving to the right again, locate the Lemming on
- the landing area who has the Spade tool and have him dig straight down to
- the brick bridge. Everyone else should follow him immediately.
-
- Have the "digger" dig through the left tree below.
-
- Results: 42 Lemmings Saved'
-
- Level 20
-
- There're 2 entrances - one high on the left and one on the right just above
- the Exit. There're also 2 trapped Lemmings to rescue.
-
- Wait until the first Lemming drops from the left entrance. When he walks a
- few steps, make him a Blocker. Go immediately to the right entrance and make
- the 2nd Lemming a Blocker. The leader will make his way to the Exit. Before
- he gets there, he'll pick up 2 bags of bricks. After he picks them up, turn
- him back to walk to the left and have him build a bridge across the pool of
- water. When he completes the bridge, turn him back to the right.
-
- Now release the Blocker at the right entrance, followed by the Blocker at
- the left entrance. The latter Lemming will pick up a Spade tool on his way
- to rescue his trapped friends. Mark him in red. When he gets to the trappees,
- have him bust them out by digging through the green post.
-
- Make the left-most Lemming into a Blocker and have the Red Lemming Jump over
- him. When he gets to the green area on the platform, have him dig straight
- down while he is still moving to the left. As soon as he breaks through
- release the last Blocker. Everyone will reach the Exit safely.
-
- Results: 44 Lemmings Saved.

- Level 21
-
- Beneath the entrance in this level is a long disintegrating platform. The
- leader must get a head-start by Jumping again and again to the right to get a
- wide lead on the rest of the gang. When he gets near the right end of the
- long platform, next to the wall, have him repeatedly walk back and forth in
- place until he breaks through the floor.
-
- Next, a leader must be chosen and a Blocker set so only the leader proceeds
- on alone. The leader will drop down and walk left on a disintegrating walkway.
- He will come upon 2 sets of bricks. Have him pick up both of them, then turn
- back to the right. Have him build a bridge (no more than 7 bricks laid) over
- to the platform on the right where he will retrieve some more bricks. As soon
- as he picks them up, turn him back around to walk left. When he reaches the
- end of the left platform, have him build down at an angle (SW), but only 4
- bricks, then change his direction to go straight west. He will have enough
- bricks to make it all the way to the platform over the Exit. Now go back and
- release the Blocker.

- Result: 44 Lemmings Saved.

- Level 22
-
- This level has 4 entrances. You have to deal with the Lemmings in the following
- manner. Move immediately down to the bottom of the level just to the right of
- the pool of water. As soon as a Lemming drops down to the right of the pool,
- make him a Blocker.
-
- Now go over to bottom right corner of the level. A Lemming will come and pick
- up some bricks, then drop to a small grey post. Have him lay one brick to the
- right of the post. Next, go over to the left side of the water pool. A Lemming
- will start down the steps above and to the left of the water pool. Make him a
- Blocker before he gets all the way down.
-
- Now go over to the bottom left. One of the Lemmings is carrying a
- Spade tool. Have him dig to the right, then at an up-angle to the top of the
- stairs, then to the right again (he will uncover the door to the Exit, but
- will continue digging. Have him start digging down the stairs on the right
- side of the Exit. At the bottom of the stairs he will run out of shovels and
- turn back to get another bundle. Turn him back to the right to finish digging
- through to the pool, but turn him back around to the left before he falls in.
-
- Now locate the Lemming who has the bricks. Have him Jump over the Blocker and
- build a bridge across the water. Release all Blockers and make sure they are
- all traveling towards the Exit.
-
- Results: 44 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 23
-
- Start by making the Lemming standing next to the Spade tool at the top of the
- level, a Blocker. Now go down to the lower left corner where the Entrance is
- and make the lead Lemming a Blocker.
-
- Go back up top and release the Blocker and then make him dig straight down
- through the black spot in the green portion of the platform where he was
- standing. This will reveal some hidden bricks. When he drops through the
- platform, turn him to the left and have him Drop his Spade tool, turn back to
- the right and pick up the bricks. Let him walk to the edge of the platform and
- Drop the bricks over the edge. Turn him back to the left before he can fall
- in the pit. He will pick up the Spade tool again, but have him Drop it again.
-
- Next, he will pick up a Sucker tool. When he gets down to the bottom of the
- stairs, have him climb out to the right where he will pick up another Sucker
- tool. Turn him back to the left and have him Drop the Sucker tool over the
- edge.
-
- Turn him back to the right, Jump the small gap, and pick up one more Sucker
- tool. Have him Drop this tool over the right edge of the platform, then turn
- him back to the left and make him a Blocker.
-
- Go down to the bottom where a trapped Lemming has picked up the Sucker tool.
- Have him climb out on the left. He will next pickup some bricks. Have him
- stack them straight up next to the wall on the left. He will go on to the Exit.
-
- Now release the Blocker holding back everyone who came from the Entrance. And
- release the other Blocker who Dropped all the Sucker tools.
-
- Go up topside and have the last trapped Lemming stack his bricks straight up
- against the wall on the left. When he is even with the platform above, change
- his direction to the left and have him continue past the Spade tools left
- behind, then have him Drop his bricks.
-
- When he gets down to the bottom and picks up the Sucker tool, have him climb
- out to the right.
-
- Results: 47 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 24
-
- This level is both difficult to figure out as well as to execute. The Lemmings
- will drop from the Entrance very rapidly. Allow the leader to drop off the
- landing platform. The 2nd Lemming that appears on the left side of the plat
- will have to be made a Blocker a whole step back from the left edge. You'll
- understand why later. If he is stopped at the edge (but not teetering), start
- over until you get him well back from the left edge.
-
- After the leader drops down and heads to the right he will pick up some bricks.
- When he gets to the right side of the platform he is on, make him build one
- brick in the NE direction (up-angle to the right). As he is laying the first
- brick, click on him again and make him build straight up 4 more bricks. As he
- is laying the 4th brick, click on him once more and point the arrow straight
- to the left before clicking the left mouse button. He will step upon the
- platform and continue. When he's about all the way up the steps before the
- green floor, have him drop his remaining bricks. He will proceed to pick up
- the Spade tool. When he gets to the top of the stairs ahead, have him dig
- one shovel full straight to the left, then change his digging direction to
- NW (up-angle to the left). When he digs out the stone under the Bricks,
- change his direction once more to straight east (to the right) by using the
- USE key (F4).
-
- When he gets back down to the green area, have him dig SE starting one block
- to the left of the bricks embedded below. He will run out of spades just as
- he reaches the bricks. He'll pick up the bricks. Make him build straight up
- 2 bricks and turn him into a walker again. Mark him RED before he gets back
- among his buddies. When he is back among them, make him build a 2-step
- stairway to the right. As soon as he's down near the area where he started
- to dig downwards, make him Jump over the gap and retrieve his other supply
- of bricks. Turn him back to the left and immediately go back and find the
- Lemming at the end of the line and make him a Blocker.
-
- The leader should build another stairway to the right so as to connect to the
- platform above. Don't let him use too many bricks. Depending on where you
- start him, he doesn't need to use more than 4 or 5 bricks.
-
- The leader will continue along the top platform. When he arrives at the right
- edge, make him build a stairway down to the platform over against the wall with
- the Spade tool. Have him drop the remaining bricks and pick up the Spade tool.
- Have him dig straight down. When he gets down to the shelf with the Hadokens
- on it, have him Drop the Spade tools and pick up at least 2 Hadokens. When he
- gets down to the next shelf, make him a Blocker so you can assess the
- situation with the Beast below. When the Beast is moving left away from the
- Blocker, free the Blocker and as soon as he is down on the floor, have him use
- a Hadoken to kill the Beast.
-
- Drop the remaining Hadoken and go pick up the bricks ahead. Let the leader
- walk to the right a ways, then turn him back to the left and when he is in
- position, have him Jump so he lands on the small grey obstacle or just beyond
- it. Be ready to stop him at the edge of the water pool and make him build a
- bridge across. When he turns back, have him go retrieve the Hadoken, then
- turn him once more to the left. When its safe, have him Jump over the small
- grey obstacle on the left side of the water pool and kill the other Beast.
- Make sure he doesn't have any other tools including another Hadoken by trying
- to Drop something. Turn him back to the right to pick up the bricks. Now
- have him Jump back over both grey pedestals and build a single brick step
- on the right side of each obstacle.
-
- Now go release the Blocker above and on the right. Next, after everyone is
- moving to the right, carefully release the original Blocker. He will take one
- step before you can turn him around to the right (which is the reason why he
- had to be made a Blocker back from the edge.
-
- Results: 47 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 25
-
- Due to the complexity of this level, the solution is necessarily long-winded.
- It is recommended you bring up the level, pause it, and carefully read this
- while viewing the level on your screen.
-
- This level has 2 trapped Lemmings; you will be saving only one. In fact, if
- you don't rescue him, you won't be able to finish. This level also has a
- difficult start (not unlike level 10) and a very difficult middle section, but
- a fairly routine ending. (The other trapped Lemming is saveable, but I will
- let you figure out how - I played this level so many times I didn't feel like
- saving him).
-
- The landing platform consists mostly of disintegrating blocks. At the right
- edge of the landing platform is 1 bag of bricks. The leader will pick up
- these bricks and drop to the right. He should be made a Blocker back from
- the right edge of the platform he lands on. The next Lemmings will turn to
- the left off the Leader and drop to another small platform on the left. He
- too needs to be made a Blocker back from the left edge. Some of his buddies
- will eventually drop to his right after all the disintegrating blocks are gone.
- So he has to be back far enough for them to drop on his right but not
- so far that he won't be able to take one more step to the left later and be
- turned around to walk to the right. (See diagram below).
-
- The next Lemming will drop to another small platform on the right. He too needs
- to be made a Blocker. The first Lemming to reach the bottom platform needs to
- be made a Blocker a step back from the left edge (again, he will have to be
- released later, so will need a step to turn him around). Now you have to set
- one more Blocker just underneath the platform above after letting one Lemming
- pass to the right (unblocked). As soon as the Blocker is set, quickly switch
- to the USE skill and be ready to have the leader build a bridge across the gap
- on the right side of the platform. When he gets across to the other side only
- about 30 seconds or so will have elapsed. After he picks up the Clock, make
- him a Blocker so he'll stand still.

- (If you've conquered this part of the level, the best is yet to come).

- Go up to the trapped Lemming who has a Spade tool and Umbrella on his roof.
- Make him a Blocker on the right side of his niche.
-
- Now go back to the original leader who picked up the first bag of bricks and
- was made a Blocker. I'll list the steps you must follow to get to the trapped
- Lemming and what must happen to free him and get him back safely.
-
- 1) Release the leader and have him make 4 Jumps to the right. When he reaches
- the post with more bricks on it, switch to the USE skill and have him build
- stairs to the right.
-
- 2) When he is at the top of the stairs, have him Drop the bricks and turn him
- back to the left.
-
- 3) Have him Jump back to where the Sucker tool is and when he's picked it up,
- have him turn back to the right and Jump across the gaps again.
-
- 4) Change to the USE skill and when he gets to the green post where the trapped
- Lemming is, have him climb up to the top and get the Spade tool. Do not
- let him walk past the Spade tool icon. Make him a Blocker as soon as he
- steps on the disintegrating step where the Spade tool was.
-
- 5) When he drops in, have him dig left. As he's digging switch to the Jumper
- skill quickly.
-
- 6) When he reaches the edge of the platform, have him make 3 Jumps to get back
- across to the left. When he's at the left edge of the platform, make him a
- Blocker.
-
- 7) Go back and free the trapped Lemming by making him walk. Switch to Jumper
- skill quickly and let him walk out on the grey disintegrating steps. Make
- him Jump 3 times to reach the other side using the remaining disintegrating
- steps. As soon as he gets to the other side, make him a Blocker.
-
- 8) Now release the Blocker ahead of him and have him Jump the gaps and let him
- go.
-
- 9) Go back and release the formerly trapped Lemming and have him Jump the gaps
- and let him go.
-
- (The hardest part is done - you can relax now).
-
- Now referring to the small diagram above, release Blocker 5 (right-most
- Lemming on lower platform left of the bridge) to widen the gap between
- Blockers 4 and 5. Stop Blocker 5 in the middle of the bridge by making him a
- Blocker again.
-
- Now go up and release Blockers 2 & 3, making sure they both go to the right.
- Locate the Lemming with the bricks (right mouse button clicked in space).
- Have him Jump all Blockers to the right. Have him build stairs up to the
- next platform on the right. When he has moved on to the platform a ways,
- make him a Blocker.
-
- Go back and locate the Lemming with the Spade tool (right mouse button in space
- again). Have him Jump all Blockers to the right. When he gets to the large
- barrier, have him dig 3 times, then click on him and turn him back around to
- the left. Make him a Blocker and release the Blocker with the bricks. When he
- gets to the gap, have him build a bridge. Release the Blocker with the Spade
- tool again and have him go back and finish digging through to the other side.
-
- When he finishes, make him a Blocker before he reaches the wall on the right.
-
- Now go back and release all the Blockers except #4 (extreme left). When
- everyone is moving to the right, release #4 (be sure to turn him to the right)
- and have him catch up with everyone else by making him Jump. The object of all
- of this is to get everyone as close as possible to the wall where the leader is
- located. When they've bunched up as much as possible without wasting too much
- time, set a Blocker at the left end of the group.
-
- Allow the leader to proceed and make him climb the wall using his Sucker tool.
- When he gets to the top have him immediately Drop his Sucker tool. He will
- pick up the Spade tool ahead. When he's standing on the block with the bricks,
- have him dig straight down 4 times, then change his direction to the right.
- Have him change his direction to an up-angle (NE) after he passes under the
- metal block over his head. When he comes out on top, turn him back around to
- the left. When he gets back down to the bottom, have him take one step, then
- start digging again at a down-angle (SW). When he gets on a plane that is
- even with the platform where all the other Lemmings are, have him dig straight
- to the left (W). Now release any Blockers and make sure everyone is going to
- the right and on to the Exit. After they all leave, Nuke the level.
-
- Results: 48 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 26
-
- This level poses some interesting choices. There are 2 trapped Lemmings.
- You'll need one of them for help, but will end up freeing both of them.
-
- Let the Leader drop down into the shaft to the right of the entrance where he
- will pick up 2 Sucker tools. When the 3rd Lemming drops down from the entrance,
- make him a Blocker at the right edge of the landing platform. Quickly move
- your cursor to the leader and have him climb up out on the right side. As soon
- as he gets to the top, have him drop the Sucker tool. He will then pick up
- some bricks. He'll have to Jump across 3 gaps (hint: make sure you click on
- him for the next Jump when he is in mid-air). When he gets to the platform on
- the right, stop him as he takes his first step onto the green area. Have
- him build a stairway to the right from here.
-
- At the top he will pickup some more bricks at the right end of the platform.
- From there he'll drop down and walk to the right. At the right end, have him
- start a stairway at a down-angle (SE). As he is laying the 5th step, click on
- him again to stop him and turn him around. Turn him back to the right
- and have him Drop the bricks. When he falls down, he will land right next to
- 2 Spade tools. Let him pick them both up and turn him back to the left.
-
- He will next fall onto the platform where the 2 trapped Lemmings are. Have him
- dig to free them. As each is freed, let each walk to the right before making
- each a Blocker.
-
- Let the leader move on to the left. When he steps down off the last green step
- have him dig twice straight to the right, then 5 times at a down-angle to the
- right (SE), then once more to the right. As soon as he begins to dig out the
- last shovel full, click on your USE key and turn him back to the left BEFORE
- he can go on and pickup more Spade tools. When he gets back up on the platform
- to his left, make him a Blocker a little ways further on to the platform.
-
- Now release the trapped lemming on the left who was made a Blocker. Move him
- to the left and have him go down and retrieve both Spade tools. As soon as he
- does, turn him back to the left, have him Jump over the Blocker on the platform
- and when he reaches the green area (single square) near the left end of the
- platform, have him dig straight down all the way to the bottom. When he is
- down there, make him dig all the way to the left. When he is through digging,
- he will turn back to the right. Have him Drop his Spade tool in the opening
- between the bricks, then let him collect all the bricks and stack 8 of them
- straight up on the right so he can get out. As the 8th brick is being laid,
- click on the Use key and have the brick layer move off to the left.
-
- When he gets to the left end of the platform, have him build a stairway to the
- northwest and build a bridge to join the 2 platforms above. After he finishes
- the bridge, make him a Blocker. Now go back and release the Blocker who still
- has a Spade. Have him go to the left and dig straight down through the bricks.
- He will pick up the Spade tool left by the brick layer. Have him dig out to the
- right and go to the Exit. Now go release the Blocker back up on the landing
- area. When all the Lemmings are moving to the right to go to the Exit, release
- the Blocker and make sure he goes right. Then go over and release the Blocker
- on the right (the other trapped Lemming).
-
- Results: 50 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 27
-
- As the level starts there are 2 trapped Lemmings on the landing platfrom. They
- will each walk to the right and pick up bricks. As soon as the 1st Lemming
- drops down from the entrance and walks a step or 2 to the right, make him a
- Blocker. Have one of the "brick layers" Jump left over the Blocker to join
- the pack.
-
- Have the other Lemming with bricks build a stairway up to the right where there
- is a Spade tool. If he still has a brick or 2, have him Drop it and pick up
- the Spade tool. He should dig straight east (right), then walk back and forth
- on the grey surface until he is all the way down. Finally have him dig once
- more to the right to where there's a Sucker tool. (He won't need it).
-
- Now click the right mouse button to highlight the other Lemming with bricks.
- Release the Blocker and turn the Red lemming to the left. When the last
- Lemming is on the stairs, make him a Blocker.
-
- When the Red Lemming is walking to the RIGHT, have him stack his bricks
- straight up just to the left of the small metal platform overhead. When he lays
- the last of his 8 bricks, he will hop on the platform and get some more bricks.
- Have him fill the small gap with one brick, and continue on to get more bricks.
-
- When he gets to the right end of the platform, have him build a stairway up
- and to the right. (The gap to be bridged with the stairs is 5 bricks wide.
- However, the last brick to the right must not be laid - a gap must be left)
- The Lemming must build the stairs with the following objectives in mind:
-
- 1)He must come out level with the platform he is going towards.
- 2)He must leave a one brick gap and the end before the platform.
- 3)He must be able to go back down and come back up the stairs.
- 4)He must be able to Jump over the the platform to cross the small gap.
-
- As soon as he is on the platform, have him Drop his supply of bricks. At
- the top of the stairs ahead is a Spade tool. When he picks it up, use the
- USE skill to turn him back down to the left. When he reaches the bottom of
- the stairs, have him Drop the Spade tool over the edge, then immediately
- turn back around to the right and retrieve his bricks. Turn him left again
- and have him Jump back over the small gap. When he goes down the brick steps
- and is standing on the single brick between the 2 small metal platforms, have
- him stack his bricks straight up. He will pickup more bricks and should be
- made to stack again on the left straight up to the next level where there
- are more bricks (he won't need them) and a Sucker tool.
-
- When he picks up the Sucker tool, have him climb out to the right. Once
- again he will pickup another Sucker tool and climb up on the right again.
- When he gets to the top, he will fall down on the right (his fall will be
- broken by 2 disintegrating steps down the shaft).
-
- When he comes out at the bottom and picks up some more bricks, have him bridge
- the gap on the right. When he turns back to the left and crosses the bridge,
- have him Drop his bricks, turn around and go pick up the Spade tool on the
- right. When he is back on the bridge, have him dig straight down. He will
- land on a platform to the left of the Exit.
-
- Have him walk all the way left until he gets to the green block, then have
- him dig down and to the left until he runs out of Spades. He will then walk
- back to the Exit.
-
- Go back to the landing platform and release the Blocker. He will pickup the
- Spade tool and proceed to join his buddies. Quickly mark him in Red before
- he gets there. When he does, have him dig down and to the right so everyone
- can go to the Exit.
-
- Results: 52 Lemmings Saved.
-
- Level 28
-
- All is not as it appears on the surface in this level. There are 2 trapped
- Lemmings, and with luck, you should be able to save both of them.
-
- The object at the start is to get all the Lemmings closed up in a fairly tight
- bunch. You will understand why later. The first Lemming to drop down will walk
- to the right as usual. Make him a Blocker before he can step up on the stairs
- to the right. Let the 2nd Lemming walk up the stairs to the left and pick up
- the Shimmier tool. Make the next Lemming behind him a Blocker before he can
- start up the stairs on the left.
-
- Use your right mouse button to mark the Lemming with the Shimmier tool. Have
- him Jump across both Blockers, then temporarily make him a Blocker. Go back and
- make another Lemming a Blocker just to the right of the left Blocker. (If you
- fail at this, it is recommended for time reasons, that you press Escape and
- start over again. Assuming you set the Blocker, release the left Blocker and
- when he comes back down stairs and is moving to the RIGHT, make him a Blocker
- again. Release the inside Blocker and release the Leader who has the Shimmier
- tool.
-
- At every instance that you can, use the Jump skill to move the Lemmings along
- a bit faster. When the Leader gets to the area where there are disintegrating
- blocks, have him Jump once before he steps down on to them. When he gets to
- the other side and drops to the bottom platform, turn him back to the left
- immediately. Have him use his Shimmier tool to cross the pool of water. When
- he gets across, drops down and picks up the Spade tool, have him dig left to
- free the trapped Lemming. When they pass each other, make the Lemming with the
- Spade tool into a Blocker. The other will proceed to the right to pick up the
- Bricks.
-
- Have him build up 2 steps at an angle (NE) then straight across. When he's
- about 2/3 of the way across, release the Lemming with the Spade tool. When
- the leader approaches the point where there's a single green block in the floor
- make him a Blocker several steps ahead of the spot. When the other Lemming gets
- to his position, make him Jump over the Blocker, walk to the wall, turn around
- and make him a Blocker also.
-
- The Blocker on the left (with the Bricks) should be released, but stopped with
- the Use skill 1 step to the right of the green block. Have him build stairs
- up to the left to the platform. As soon as he finishes, release the Blocker
- back down stairs. Go back to the leader and have him walk across, but Jump
- BEFORE he steps on the last block before the solid platform. When the leader
- gets to within 4 or 5 steps ahead of the stairs leading down to where all his
- buddies are waiting, make him a Blocker again. When the guy with the Spade tool
- comes along, have him Jump over the leader, walk part way down stairs then make
- him a Blocker also.

- Returning now to the Leader with the Bricks, have him start one step away from
- the stairs and build stairs the following way: 2 up, 1 angle right, 1 straight
- up, another angle up right, etc, (only takes 8 bricks), until he gets up to
- the platform on the right and picks up more bricks. (Each step must be
- 2 bricks high). As soon as he picks up the bricks and comes back down, have him
- Jump over the Blocker with the Spade tool and make him a Blocker.
-
- Now release the Lemming with the Spade tool. When he gets up to the right make
- him dig to the right 4 times only, then click on the Use skill again. You will
- see that he is busy picking up more Spade tools. Keep clicking on him and
- move your cursor to the LEFT so he will turn back. When he gets out beyond the
- green blocks, have him Jump across the small gap, then immediately Drop his
- Spade tool and go pick up the 2 Clocks. When he's done that, have him turn
- back to the right and pick up the Spade tool again.

- Next, have him Jump across the gap again. When he gets back to where he
- picked up all the Spade tools, then have him start carving out a stairs up and
- to the right. (I know, it looks impossible, but you have a surprise waiting
- for you). Do not attempt to change his direction during his work, or you will
- have to restart the level. He will eventually break out at the top and drop
- down onto a stairway. Turn him back to the left and when he gets clear beyond
- the Bricks below, make him a Blocker.

- Now quickly go back down and release the Lemming with the Bricks (if you're
- comfortable with it, he could've been released just before the Spade work
- was done, in order to save some time).
-
- When the Brick carrier gets to the top, have him walk over to the right where
- the Lemming Zapper is. Have him lay 3 bricks straight up just to the left of
- the small raised area under the Zapper. Click on him as he is laying the 3rd
- brick and point the arrow straight down (it will be a red arrow) and click on
- the left mouse button. He will jump down to the left and head downstairs. When
- he gets there, he'll pick up the remaining bricks. As soon as he has them,
- click on him before he can move and have him build stairs up to the right (it
- will require 5 bricks). Let him go a few steps, then turn him back to the
- left, and at the same time, release the guy with the Spade tool. When he gets
- part way up the stairs, but still under the overhang where the rest of the
- gang will drop down, make him a Blocker and make the Brick layer a Blocker
- also.

- Quickly go back and release the Blocker on the right end of the landing
- platform. When everyone has started to the right, release the Blocker on the
- left (make him Jump immediately once or twice and once more at the top of the
- brick stairs in order for him to close the gap to the ones ahead).
-
- Next, when all the Lemmings get to the top, make the trailing Lemming a Blocker
- before anyone can get past him up on the metal platform with the Zapper. (If
- any do get by, turn them around and have them Jump over the Blocker so they
- can join their buddies again.)
-
- They should all still be fairly well bunched up. Go release the Blocker with
- the Spade tool and have him Jump in with the rest of them. Now bring up the
- Lemming with the Bricks and when he gets right next to the Blocker on the
- platform, make him build a stairway up and to the left (NW). You may have to
- compensate for the short distance by building your stairs similar to the brick
- stairway back down by the landing area, i.e., stack one brick on another once
- or twice, but never more than 2 bricks high.

- When the brick layer gets to the top he will pickup more bricks and proceed
- to the left. When he steps on the small block just ahead of the highest, large
- green block, have him build up and to the left and when he gets to the left
- edge of the large, green block, have him build up and to the left again. Have
- him lay the last brick or two straight to the left (West). When he turns back
- to the left, release the Blocker back down on the platform with the Zapper.

- The Brick layer and everyone else will pass in opposite directions. As soon as
- the Brick layer is completely past everyone, make him a Blocker and make the
- trailing Lemming of the other group a Blocker. Pause the game and look at the
- time below. If there's at least a minute and 15 seconds or more, then release
- the brick layer and have him start a stairway up to the Exit, laying the first
- brick on the end of the green platform (on top of the platform, not off the
- edge). You can now forget the brick layer.

- Time permitting, locate the lemming with the Spade tool and have him dig
- through the green barrier up and to the left to free the 2nd trapped Lemming,
- then release the Blocker back down the ramp. Make everyone turn to the right
- using the Walk skill.
-
- If you find there wasn't time left to free the trapped Lemming, you will have
- to nuke the level when everyone else is in the Exit.
-
- Results: 54 Lemmings Saved

- Level 29
-
- Despite the looks of the level, it isn't as bad as you might think. You'll even
- be able to save both trapped Lemmings with much time to spare.
-
- Make Blockers (1st & 2nd Lemmings) at the left and right sides of the
- landing platform (but not at the extreme ends - several steps back is probably
- the best). As you can see, there are disintegrating steps on both sides of the
- landing platform and they occur on the next 4 platforms down on both sides.
-
- The first thing is to safely get a Lemming all the way down to the bottom.
- On the 5th platform down on the left are a couple of Umbrellas. Have a
- Lemming Jump over the left Blocker. When all the disintegrating steps are
- gone, turn him to the right before he can pick up the Bomb over on the left.
- Have him work his way down to the 5th platform by turning him left, right,
- left at each platform until he gets down to the umbrellas (never let him
- take out more than one disintegrating step while he works his way down).
-
- After he picks up the umbrella and turns to the right, have him take out one
- more disintegrating step, then turn left. Now go down to the lower right where
- there's a trapped Lemming and make him a Blocker up against the wall.
-
- When the Lemming arrives at the bottom, he will walk right and pickup some
- bricks. Let him walk all the way back down to wipe out the steps, then turn
- him back to the right. Have him build some stairs up and to the left, laying
- the first brick on the 6th stone from the wall on the right (he must not lay
- more than 6 bricks).
-
- He will walk left across the platform his stairs will take him to. When he
- reaches the left end, have him lay his last 10 bricks straight to the left.
- As soon as he lays his last brick, turn him back to the right and make him a
- Blocker about a 3rd of the way back to the right end of the platform. Go
- release the trapped Lemming down below on the right and have him walk up
- on the platform and make him a Blocker about half way to the other Blocker.
-
- Now have another Lemming Jump over the right Blocker back on the landing
- platform. Have him walk across the 4 disintegrating steps, then work his way
- down to the Bricks on the right. Use the same procedure for getting him down
- there as you did over on the left to assure that no more than a single
- disintegrating step is taken out on each platform on the way down to get the
- bricks. After he picks up the bricks, make sure he comes down on the right
- side of the U-shaped area below.
-
- When he drops down to the brick bridge below, let him proceed left and have
- him lay exactly 2 bricks, then turn him back to the right. Have him Jump over
- both Blockers and build a bridge with his last 6 bricks over to the Exit. (His
- 1st brick should be layed on top of the last stone on the right end of the
- platform.
-
- After he completes the bridge, he will go on to the Exit. Release the other
- 2 Blockers and make sure they go towards the Exit.
-
- Go back up stairs and have another Lemming Jump the right Blocker. When he
- drops to the 2nd platform down, have him Jump over to where there is a Spade
- tool. When he gets down to the incomplete brick bridge below, have him Jump
- across to the left over to the green pedestal. When he is standing on the
- 4th brick from the left end, have him dig at a down-angle (SW) to the left,
- but DON'T let him dig out the last green block at the bottom. The Potato
- Beast will Jump up and get trapped. Have the digger change direction to the
- straight left so he will not take out the last block on the floor. Next,
- have him release the trapped Lemming and set one of them as a Blocker.
-
- As each Lemming goes back up the steps, the Beast will not be able to harm
- them due to his trapped status, however don't let either Lemming go back down
- those stairs or the Beast will have his "dinner". When each Lemming reaches
- the top right edge of the green pedestal, have him Jump over to the brick
- bridge and continue on to the Exit.
-
- Lastly, go back up topside again and release the Blocker on the LEFT. When
- everyone is moving left, release the other Blocker and make sure he goes to
- the left as well. Everyone will head for the Exit without any more need for
- help.

- Results: 56 Lemmings Saved.

- Level 30

- This final level isn't as tough as it might appear.
-
- When the 1st Lemming moves to the right a little ways, make him a Blocker.
- The 2nd Lemming will move left and pick up an Umbrella. Make the next Lemming
- behind him a Blocker well back from the edge.
-
- The Umbrella'd Lemming will land safely below, walk right, and pick up some
- bricks. Have him lay a single brick to the right, then change his direction
- back to the left. When he returns to the right, have him Jump over to the
- platform with the tree on it. He will pick up the bricks and turn around.
-
- At this point you can opt to have him go up and pick up the bricks on the
- little platform on the left to give yourself some buffer with respect to the
- number of bricks you'll have, or you can forget it and go with what you
- already have. If you choose the latter course, then you will have just exactly
- enough bricks and no more.
-
- Let him drop down and go to the right. When he is next to the wall on the
- right, have him build steps to the left to get on the right side of the tree
- to fetch more bricks.
-
- Have him build stairs over to the right. When he is standing on the grey post
- (on the right side, before he can drop off), have him build a bridge over to
- the Exit. After he passes under the platform overhead with all the foliage
- on it, have him drop down 2 steps before continuing to the right. When the
- bridge is finished, turn him back to the left. When he is standing on the
- same spot from where he started the bridge, have him stack bricks straight
- through the notch above. Make sure he stops within 2 bricks of the landing
- platform (he'll be even with the grey block on the right).

- Let him walk to the right and when he is directly under the open shaft above
- his head, have him stack the remaining bricks.
-
- Next, have him Jump over all niches until the last one which contains a
- Shimmier tool. Let him drop down. He will fall through, but the Shimmier
- tool will drop with him. Make sure he goes to the right after picking up the
- Shimmier tool. When he is even with or just ahead of the niche above that
- has the Bricks in it, make him a Shimmier. The tools in the niches will drop
- down when he shimmies across them. Have him turn back to the left and pick
- up the Spade tools that dropped. Turn him around to the right again and when
- he is directly under the Spade tools above, have him stop and dig at an
- up-angle to the right or left. This will release the last Spade tools. Make
- sure he picks them up.

- Now have him cut a hole through the bricks on the right and Drop his Spade
- tool over the edge of the platform he is on. Turn him back to the left to go
- get the bricks. After he gets them, turn him around to the right and let him
- drop down to the next platform and walk right. Have him build a bridge over
- the gap, then 2 steps (only) down in to the pit where the 1st Lemming is
- trapped.

- When he gets over to the wall on the right, have him stack 2 bricks straight
- up. Meanwhile the trapped Lemming will pick up the Dropped Spade tools and
- turn back to the right. When he gets up on the 2 bricks that were stacked up
- have him dig to the NW to free the other trapped Lemming. Let him walk back
- to the left and get ahead of the other 2 Lemmings. Make a Blocker out of the
- first Lemming to follow him. The Blocker should be set to the right of the
- opening up to the next platform.

- Have the digger dig left as far as he can go. When he falls down to the brick
- bridge below, turn him to the right and have him dig through the foliage to
- get to the Exit.

- Now go up to the landing platform and release the Blocker on the right. When
- everyone is going to the right, release the Blocker on the left and turn him
- around to the right. When everyone has passed the Blocker on the next
- platform, release him and everyone will Exit safely.

- Results: 58 Lemmings Saved.
