  1. HOW TO UNPROTECT "LITTLE BLACK BOOK" by CIGNET TECHNOLOGIES.

  4. 1. First, make a copy of the original distribution disk. NEVER fool
  5.    around with the original disk--it's much too dangerous!
  6.  
  7. 2. Using the COPY and a "disk zapper" such as the Norton Utilities,
  8.  
  9.       (or FM included on this disk.   -   Public Brand Software)
  10.  
  11.    search the file BOOK.EXE for the following byte string:
  12.  
  13.               3D 00 00 74 07 C6 06 03 01
  14.  
  15. Change it to:
  16.  
  17.               B8 00 00 74 07 C6 06 03 00
  18.  
  19. Next, search the BOOK.EXE file for:
  20.  
  21.               CD 13 B8 01 02 CD 13 72 0E
  22.  
  23. and change it to:
  24.  
  25.               90 90 90 90 90 90 90 EB 0E
  26.  
  27. Finally, search for:
  28.  
  29.               EB F5 F6 C4 06 75 06
  30.  
  31. and change it to:
  32.  
  33.               EB F5 F6 C4 06 EB 06
  34.  
  35. This completes the changes to BOOK.EXE.

  37. Next, search the file LBB.EXE for the following byte string:

  45. Next, search the LBB.EXE file for:

  53. Finally, search for:
