  15. Intro:
  16.     Well you may be thinking that, Oh! yes I've read tutorials
  17.     before and they are about as helpful as a dead parrot.....
  18.     I thought it was about time to write a little series of
  19.     textfiles on how to use (and abuse) Mailbox systems.
  20.     This series will NOT just cover Hacking and scanning of mail
  21.     systems but also the facilities used on each................

  23. Start:
  24.     O.K. After recently coming across an ASPEN system which I
  25.     successfully managed to hack a couple of mailboxes for my
  26.     personal use, I didn't realise all the many facilities 
  27.     available to the (Ab)user. I have collated the following
  28.     information myself I hope it will be of some help to U.
  29.  
  30.     Assuming that you already have a mailbox on the system:
  31.     
  32.     When Entering your mailbox number and passcode the system
  33.     will tell you if you have any new (or saved) messages.
  34.     Let's assume you have ONE new message.
  35.  
  36.     You may select the following options:

  38.     Push:
  39.     -----    1 - Recieve Messages
  40.         2 - Send a message
  41.         3 - Check Reciept
  42.         4 - Personal Options

  44. Option chosen:

  48. ""    Whilst message is playing you have a sub-menu of options.

  50.      1: Rewind Message Ten Seconds
  51.     11: Rewind To Start Of Message
  52.      2: Pause Message (Press Again To Unpause)
  53.      3: Fast Forward Message Ten seconds
  54.     33: Fast Forward To End Of Message
  55.      
  56.      4: Decrease Playing Speed (Slow Down)
  57.      6: Increase Playing Speed (Speed Up)
  58.  
  59.      8: Decrease Volume
  60.      9: Increase Volume
  61.  
  62.     After listening to the message you may select one of these.

  64.      4: Replay Message
  65.      5: Envelope Message (Find Source Mailbox+Time+Date+Length)
  66.      6: Send On Message To Another Subscriber - Record Intro Msg.
  67.      7: ERASE Message
  68.      8: Reply To Message
  69.      9: Save Message In Archives (For Later Listening)

  95.     This Section Refers To Guest Box Control.
  96.     If you are Strapped for boxes then you can assign
  97.     Guest Boxes so you can send messages to each other even
  98.     if One person doesn't have a mailbox.

  100.         1: Change Guest 1's Password

  102.         Guest Can Leave AND Recieve Messages

  104.         2: Change Guest 2's Password

  106.         Guest Can Leave AND Recieve Messages

  129.          sending you messages from other boxes.
  130.          i.e. "Your message will be sent to xxxxxx"

  134.          This is what Non-Subscribers who are leaving 
  135.          you mail will hear.

  137.         3: Change Your Extended Abscence Greeting
  138.  
  139.          This is the same as the ordinary greeting but
  140.          people leaving messages will be alerted that
  141.          you may not be back for some time.

  145.     3: Distribution Lists

  148.     Distribution lists are so you can record a message and have
  149.     it automatically sent to all users on your list.

  151.     i.e. Your list could contain EVERYONE'S number
  152.          Or All Your M8s On the system.

  160.         4: Find Names Of People On Lists

  211.     This Checks for Reciept of messages (See Previous)

  213.     Enter Mailbox Number: xxxx

  215.     When entered number the system will say one of the following:

  217.     1: The Mailbox Users Name
  218.     2: "xxxx Is not a Valid Number"
  219.     3: "xxxx"

  221.     Start at 0000 then move up to 9999 making a note as follows:

  223.     If you get :

  225.     1. Ignore and enter the next number.
  226.     2. Ignore and enter the next number.
  227.     3. Jump up and down and go WHOOOOPPPEEEEE , you may be in luck.

  229.     When You Have finished you should have a list of POSSIBLE 
  230.     Hackable Mailboxes.

  237.     1. Hang Up And call back the system.
  238.     2. Press '#'
  239.     3. Enter One of Numbers on the list.
  240.     4. If it says 'Enter Password' You can either try and hack it
  241.        but isn't gonna be a VIRGIN mailbox.
  242.     5. If it says 'This is a voice messaging bollox.... blahh blahh.'
  243.        then it will come to a point where it says,
  244.        'Please enter the temporary password assigned by your System
  245.         Manager'.
  246.     6. Enter Default Passwords.
  247.        Defaults Are most likely to be the same for all the other VIRGIN
  248.        voice mail boxes if not, try the other ones.
  249.     7. If It hangs up then GOTO 1.
  250.     8. If it allows you access then play with the options (See Previous)
