  11.   The DDN MANAGEMENT BULLETIN is distributed online by the DDN Network
  12.   Information Center under DISA contract as a means of communicating
  13.   official policy, procedures and other information of concern to
  14.   management personnel at DDN facilities.  Back issues may be read
  15.   through the TACNEWS server ("@n" command at the TAC) or may be
  16.   obtained by FTP (or Kermit) from the NIC.DDN.MIL host [192.112.36.5]
  17.   using login="anonymous" and password="guest".  The pathname
  18.   for bulletins is ddn-news/ddn-mgt-bulletin-nn.txt (where "nn" is the
  19.   bulletin number).

  22.  Subject:             Renaming of Domain DCA to DISA
  23.      
  24.  1.  Since the Defense Communications Agency (DCA) has recently changed its
  25.      name to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), it is necessary to 
  26.      change the DCA domain name to DISA.  Accordingly, all DDN hosts using
  27.      the .dca.mil extension must be changed to .disa.mil., with the exception
  28.      of hosts that should have the extension .ddn.mil.  These hostnames will
  29.      be changed at the same time the DISA changes are made.

  31.  2.  The NIC will make these changes globally for all hosts registered
  32.      under the .dca.mil domain; the changes will take effect on 31 March 1992.
  33.      All host administrators and/or host coordinators will be responsible for 
  34.      ensuring that they make any host modifications necessary to accommodate
  35.      this change and for promptly notifying all the users associated with their
  36.      hosts about the change.

  38.  3.  DDN will retain the DCA.MIL name as a nickname or alias for a period of
  39.      one year to allow for an easy transition from the DCA.MIL domain to the
  40.      DISA.MIL domain.
