  39.    the parts can be purchased from radio 
  40.  shack for less than $20.  This is a     
  41.  very good high-gain meter-type bug 
  42.  detector.  It has a crystal diode with  
  43.  2 amplification stages to boost the     
  44.  power of the meter.  This produces a    
  45.  broad-band, battery-powered, receiver   
  46.  that can sense radio-frequency transm-  
  47.  itters up to a mile away.  Unfortun-    
  48.  ately, it will also pick up a commerc-  
  49.  ial am or fm station up to 3 miles      
  50.  away....

  159. bumpbeeper.  It attaches to the under   
  160. side of a car with magnets and then     
  161. sends out a signal that can be heard on 
  162. a radio.
