WHATS NEW?
==========
8/28/93
-------
The current release of SCAN.EXE is a memory hog, and requires 390K
to run. Run File Brain and check the blue status window on the bottom
of the screen. If your File Brain RAM= value is below 400, SCAN will cause
File Brain to abort. To bypass SCAN, use NONE as the virus checker
in the BRAINEX.INI file. Check the [File Brain] section and use:
Virus tester=NONE
A workaround is in progress to get File Brain to work with SCAN.
5/10/93
-------
Fixed a bug in file_id.diz formatting section.
3/27/93
-------
When extracting FILE_ID.DIZ, high ascii characters will be removed.
This will help with compatibility with BBSes that can't handle these
characters in file desacriptions.
3/21/93
-------
Added a new option to determine the fate of all uploads, not just
outdated files. You can either DELETE or MOVE all rejected uploads.
Please run BRAINSET with the new (3/21/93 or later) BRAINEX\BRAINEX.DAT file.
3/15/93
-------
Fixed a problem in the GIF test section.
3/11/93
-------
Since PCBOARD does not write a USERS.SYS or DOOR.SYS during an upload
check, there is no way for File Brain to determine the current user's
security level. Therefore, the SKIP TEST LEVEL option will not work
for PCBOARD. All uploads will be tested.
3/8/93
------
Fixed a lock up problem with PCBoard in non-graphics mode.
2/13/93
-------
If your BBS does not create a data file such as DOOR.SYS or
DORINFO.DEF when shelling to test an upload, you can set File
Brain to automatically detect your modem status by using DETECT
on the command line. Example:
FBRAIN FILE=%1 DETECT
