  3. Download a QWK Mail Packet
  4.  
  5.    This option will SCAN for new mail, pack it up, and send it to your PC.
  6.  
  7.    This will create a QWK mail packet as opposed to the more powerful OPX
  8.    mail packet.  You can use the Silver Xpress QWK/OPX mail reader to read
  9.    the mail packet.  However, please be aware that alot of power is lost by
  10.    using QWK mail packets.

  12.    Silver Xpress will begin to "bundle" the mail into a file with the
  13.    extension QWK, for example, GLOBAL.QWK.  This file is called the XPRESS
  14.    MAIL PACKET.  When it has completed bundling the mail, it will begin to
  15.    send the QWK file to you using the file transfer method you selected.
