8. Include New Files Lists : No
9. Enhanced File Lists : No
10. Include New Bulletins : No
11. Send Color Bulletins : No
12. Include SESSION.TXT : No
[#] to Change, [R]e-List Options, or [Enter] alone to Exit :
Simply choose the number and enter the new value.
Here is a detailed description of each selection:
1. Max Size of MESSAGES.DAT : Unlimited
Determines the size limit of the MESSAGES file in your packet.
This limit does NOT affect the bulletin or file lists, ONLY the
messages.
2. Max Messages/Forum : Default Default= 65535
This determines the maximum number of messages per forum that will
be extracted in any ONE download. The sysop has also limited you
to how large you can increase this to based on your baudrate.
3. Max Messages/Packet : Default Default= 65535
This determines the maximum TOTAL number of messages you can extract
in any one download. It should be noted that the sysop has also
limited the total number of messages you can extract and therefore,
you might not receive the number shown here.
4. Receive Messages YOU Posted: No
This determines whether or not MainMail will extract messages that you
uploaded. Some users like to receive their own messages to see how
well they came out in their final draft.
5. Include Welcome And News : No
This determines whether or not MainMail will include the bbs WELCOME
and NEWS screens. If the sysop has enabled this feature, you can
choose NOT to receive these screens, thus saving a little bit of space
in your QWK packet.
6. Include Qmail Style Indexes: Yes
This allows you to disable the Qmail style 'NDX' files. Some mail
readers do not require these files, so we have provided a way to turn
them off.
NOTE: If you are unsure whether or not your reader needs these
indexes, you may try disabling them. However, if your reader
DOES require them, and they are not present, there will be no
way to read the packet! Use with caution. Disabling the Qmail
indexes will speed up the message extraction (download) step,
and reduce the size if your QWK file.
7. Default Forum Sort : NUMERIC
This option selects the DEFAULT for the order which the forums will
appear in the [S]elect Forums screen(s). You can override this
default in the [S]elect screen. Choices are NUMERIC and ALPHABETIC.
8. Include New Files Lists : No
This option is a repeat of the [F]iles toggle. It simply determines
whether or not a list of NEW bbs files will be included in your QWK
packet. See help on [F]iles Selections.
9. Enhanced File Lists : No
There are two styles of NEW FILES LISTS available, CONDENSED lists
(keywords) and ENHANCED lists (long descriptions). If you have Files
Lists enabled, then this option selects which style FILES list you
will receive.
NOTE: Enhanced File Lists take signifficantly longer to produce, and
will slow down the message extraction (download) routine by a
huge amount.
10. Include New Bulletins : No
This option is a repeat of the [B]ulletin toggle. It simply
determines whether or not NEW bbs bulletins will be included
in your QWK packet. See help on [B]ulletins Selections.
11. Send Color Bulletins : No
Some readers are capable of displaying bulletins and welcome screens
in color, others are not. If you are using a reader that allows
color, you can toggle this on and MainMail will extract the color
version of all screens. If the bulletins appear garbled in your
reader, toggle this off.
12. Include SESSION.TXT : No
SESSION.TXT is a special 'capture' file which documents your MainMail
session in a text file. If enabled, MainMail will include this
special file in your QWK packet.
