Enter Your BBS ID Code This is an 8 (or fewer) character code used by your bbs system to name QWK and REP packets. If you are calling a HOST for Mail the packets you receive from the host and sendto the host will have the HOST's ID as thir name. Example: PROGINN The above is what I use for "The Programmer's Inn BBS. Enter the Name of Your BBS Simply enter the name of your Bulletin Board. Example: The Programmer's Inn Sysop's First & Last Names Enter the Sysop's (You?) First and Last Names. Upper or lower case characters or a combination thereof is fine. Example: Michael Leahcim Your BBS' City and State Enter the City and State your BBS is located in. Example: Butte, Montana BBS Phone Number Enter the Primary Telephone Number for your BBS. Example: 406-782-8132 Fnetmail Registration Number Enter your complete FnetMail Registration Number. Example: 00000.00000 Node Number of this Configuration Enter the BBS Node number this FnetMail Configuration will be used for. Example: 1 Swap to XMS/EMS/DISK When Shelling Enter a "Y" (no Quotes) to cause FnetMail to swap to available XMS or EMS memory (or disk if no xms/ems is available). Other wise enter a "N". Swapping will allow the archivers and external protocol drivers to have maximum memory available (approximately 3k less than was available when FeatherNet was run). Swapping is recommended. Allow New Files Scanning Enter a "Y" (no quotes) to allow users to obtain a new fileslisting when they download a regular QWK packet. Update Message Pointers Enter a "Y" (no quotes) to cause FnetMail to turn on a user's mail waiting pointer if he/she receives mail during an upload to FnetMail. This will result in instant notification at logon of mail waiting the next time a user whose mail waiting pointer(s) are set to on logs onto the bbs. Your Tag Line Enter your "tag" line. This is inserted at the end of messages being imported in .REP packets. HUB's Tag Line Enter your HUB's "tag" line. This is inserted at the end ofmessages being exported in .REP packets. Max Messages 300 Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 300 baud callers can download on a given day. Max Messages 1200 Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 1200 baud callers can download on a given day. Max Messages 2400 Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 2400 baud callers can download on a given day. Max Messages 4800 Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 4800 baud callers can download on a given day. Max Messages 9600 Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 9600 baud callers can download on a given day. Max Messages 12000 and Higher Baud Callers May D/L Enter the maximum number of messages 12000 baud callers and higher can download on a given day. Serial Port BASE Address Enter the serial port address to use. If you will be using the 'STANDARD' Port Address for COM Port 1 or 2 then you canskip this question. Examples: &h3F8 &h2F8 Serial Port IRQ Number Enter the IRQ number to use. If you will be using the 'STANDARD' IRQ for Serial Port 1 or 2 then you can skip thisquestion. Example: &H4 (for Serial Port #3) You can use any IRQ numbered 1 thru 7 on XT class machines and IRQ numbers 1 thru 15 on AT and above class machines provided the irq is not SHARED by another device. Each serial port MUST use a unique IRQ. Note that a cold boot is imminent if you specify an IRQ number which cannot be used. Perform CRC-32 Duplicate Checking Enter a Y to enable CRC-32 duplicate checking. Enabling thisoption provides fast, accurate CRC-32 duplicate message "trapping" which prevents duplicate messages from being imported into your system. You must run the companion program (FNMCRC.EXE) to initially scan all your conferences and create the database. When messages are imported with this option enabled, new messages are added to the database. It is suggested you routinely (Weekly) run FNMCRC.EXE to update the database and purge deleted messages. Main BBS Directory Enter you FeatherNet Main Directory (HOME Directory). This is where the USERS file is located an is also known as Node #1. Example: C:\FNET BBS Node DIrectory Enter the FeatherNet Node Directory. This is where the FNCONF.@@@ and SRCONFIG files are located for each node. The Node directory can be the Home Directory in a one node system. Example: C:\NODE2 FnetMail "WORK" Directory Enter a *unique* sub-directory for FnetMail to use as a WORKING directory. Is is most important that no other programs use this directory as all files in the directory are routinely deleted. You can share this WORK directory with the FeatherNet node which ran FnetMail. It is suggested you use a RAM disk for increased speed. Example: C:\WORK QWK Directory Enter the Sub-Directory to "copy" QWK packets to when a local download is performed. Example: D:\SLMR REP Directory Enter the Sub-Directory to find REP packets to import when alocal upload is performed. Example: D:\SLMR Protocol Data File Enter the path and name of the File Transfer Protocol Definition File.
