  1. TXClient/2 (POP3SMTP) for use with TransX ≥ v1.5 & OS/2 Warp Connect 3 / 4?

  3. 1.   Copy the TXMOS2.TXX file into the TransX directory.
  4.  
  5. 2.   Run TXSetup.
  6.  
  7. 2.1. The TXMOS2 module will be found and installed.
  8. 2.3. Set TXSetup.InternetConfiguration.ConnectionType = PPP/TCPIP
  9. 2.3. Set TXSetup.InternetConfiguration.InterfaceType  = POP3SMTP
  10. 2.4. Change the rest to suit your needs (ask your ISP)

  12. 3.   Copy the VP??DEMO.DLL file to a OS/2 LIBPATH or insert the
  13.      TransX path in your Config.Sys
  14.  
  15. 4.   Check the SERVICE file in your OS/2 TCPIP Path, normally
  16.      \TCPIP\ETC or \MPTN\ETC
  17.  
  18.      It must contain the following lines:
  19.  
  20.      smtp              25/tcp mail      #Simple Mail Transfer
  21.      smtp              25/udp mail      #Simple Mail Transfer
  22.      pop3             110/tcp           #Post Office Protocol - Version 3
  23.      pop3             110/udp           #Post Office Protocol - Version 3

  25.      With OS/2 Warp 3 Connect it should be O.K. but older versions
  26.      do not include pop3.  Instead of checking you can simply replace
  27.      it with included SERVICE file.

  29. 5.   Starting
  30.  
  31. 5.1. Just use the IBM-Dialer or better yet use InJoy v1.1 to make a
  32.      call to your ISP.
  33.  
  34. 5.2. If you are connected, start the TXFULL.CMD that TXSetup created
  35.      from an OS/2-Window and if you configured everything O.K. then
  36.      TX & POP3SMTP will process your mail.
