  8.      INTRODUCTION
  9.  
  10.        Well it was inevitable that after a year and several months that we 
  11.        missed something in our first big release since 3.02.  This is the 
  12.        second supplemental package for Telegard 3.09.g1 (this package is
  13.        for Telegard 3.09.g1, and replaces the tg309s1.zip archive--the
  14.        contents of which are duplicated in this supplemental package).

  16.        That said . . .

  18.        SUPPLEMENTAL 2 NOTES
  19.  
  20.        1) Menu command RB does not actually exist (never did); the features
  21.        of the old 'B' command (skip messages in area) were added to the RQ
  22.        menu command.  RQ without parameters quits the scan of the current 
  23.        area, but continues the scan (if necessary) of the other areas.  RQ
  24.        with the parameter 'S' will quit all scanning.

  26.        2) FILETAGP.MNU menu command option 'E' should have been S255XL or
  27.        XF enabled.  The included menu has these features, please replace
  28.        the FILETAGP.MNU from the original archive (i.e. install this one).

  30.        3) The WHATSNEW.310 file was updated to reflect changes made to the
  31.        validation system.  The level upgrade and downgrade notices can be
  32.        found in SystemConfig.ValidationLevelConfiguration.

  34.        Please update your files as appropriate:
  35.            WHATSNEW.310          replaces WHATSNEW.310
  36.            MAKELANG.EXE (v2.01)  replaces /bbs/MAKELANG.EXE (v2.00)
  37.            MENUS.DAT             replaces /bbs/data/MENUS.DAT
  38.            MENUS.REF             replaces /bbs/notes/MENUS.REF
  39.            FILETAGP.MNU          replaces /bbs/menus/FILETAGP.MNU
  40.                                    (and any other menu directories you have)
  41.  
  42.        If you didn't install supplemental 1, then please read the following
  43.        and pay special attention to item #4.
  44.  
  45.        SUPPLEMENTAL 1 NOTES
  46.  
  47.        1) I worked all morning on the new version of MAKELANG (with the -M 
  48.        merge feature) for the 3.09.g1 release, and it never got packaged by 
  49.        the automated packaging utilities.
  50.  
  51.        2) In addition, the menu command OT was somehow removed from the 
  52.        MENUS.DAT (and subsequently not listed in the generated MENUS.REF 
  53.        file either).
  54.  
  55.        3) The WHATSNEW.310 file was updated slightly.  INDEX RESIZE has 
  56.        definitely been completed, and any mention of incompleteness was 
  57.        from earlier beta versions.

  59.        4) Of particular note, when uploading files via the /U feature, you
  60.        must answer YES to the "Test locally" (it should not actually run 
  61.        the test, but if you don't answer yes it will truncate the 
  62.        description).  This was debug code never intended for G1 but for G2.

  64.              You can patch this code so that it automatically says YES
  65.              so that you don't have to remember.  To do this, copy 
  66.              HITENTER.SCR into your /bbs/text directory, and then update
  67.              language id 831 to read:

  69. 0831 $hitenter* `0CCheck local uploads (must be YES for 3.09.g1)? [~&Y]: `0B

  71.              And recompile your languages using MAKELANG.  When this prompt 
  72.              is sent, ENTER should force an answer of YES to the above 
  73.              question.  (NOTE: The MCI code ~&Y will show up; ignore it)
