  2. Information about vFOSSIL.

  4.      In the upcoming year, I will be creating a Win32 based FOSSIL API for
  5. Windows based software to have a means of using DOS based Doors, via Comport
  6. and Telnet ports. This API will allow the BBS software author to create his
  7. Win32 software without having to worry about finding a way to support DOS
  8. based Doors that use FOSSIL communications. BBS authors only need to provide
  9. the Comport and the Telnet support routines (if they choose to add Telnet)
  10. in thier software and when a user opens a door "vFOSSIL" will operate as the
  11. FOSSIL driver for the DOS door and the BBS software only needs to call the
  12. vFOSSIL API to communicate and check status of the door.

  14.      I will sell individual copies to SysOps who wish to use it in their
  15. software if the author choses to use the API, or I will license out vFOSSIL
  16. to the author for a certain fee.  This will allow them to package vFOSSIL
  17. with thier software at no cost to the end user/SysOp.  This will only be
  18. done if I see interest from BBS software authors.

  20.      I will also provide an API interface to NetModem/32 so you authors can
  21. use NetModem/32 as the telnet server instead of going through the trouble of
  22. coding it interal to thier software.  This will only be done if I see
  23. interest from BBS software authors.
