  5. I've been authorized to release this stuff to the public, but not
  6. strictly "Public Domain". That is, use it for yourself, share any
  7. updates that you might make to the source code, but you shouldn't sell
  8. the resulting work.

  10. This is the full version of IPAD MANAGER as far as I can tell and is
  11. what I'm currently running, and includes the source code in SOURCE.ZIP.
  12. The S.C. for the STATS.EXE isn't what is compiled into STATS.EXE, and I
  13. don't have that file, but the .EXE is what I'm running. It works with
  14. the IPAD's default time/date logging. The IPADEDIT.TPG and IPADMGR.TPG
  15. are definitely what I'm using at present.

  17. I'll answer questions in Email if I can, but please be aware that I
  18. didn't write it nor sell this to you. It does work for me with very few
  19. problems IN THE MANNER THAT I USE IT. Your mileage may well vary.

  21. There is a small degree of anomoly in the stats reporting, and I think it's
  22. mostly due to the IPAD not always recognizing that the caller is gone.
  23. Be very careful about charging someone for "excess" time based on this.

  25. I've included the templates that I use for invoicing cash customers. My
  26. practice is to generate the invoice file by pressing 2, 2, 1, 2 from the
  27. top menu, fill in start and ending dates that are 3 and 4 weeks
  28. respectively from "today", and say "yes" to the Page Break question. I
  29. then load the file into The Semware Editor and massage it before
  30. printing on my letterhead. Note that the dates are NOT inclusive on
  31. either end! That means that if I want to send invoices (which I do once
  32. per week) for accounts expiring between 3 weeks from tomorrow and 4
  33. weeks from tomorrow, my Start Date is today and ending date is 4 weeks +
  34. 2 days from today.

  36. Credit card billing for flat-rate accounts works fine. Be careful about
  37. accounts that have expired and the person comes back a week or 3 later;
  38. your billing might well start at the expiration date instead of today. I
  39. always double-check things like that. You must set them to
  40. "auto-renew=Y" to generate the billing.

  42. The IPADMGR.LOG file holds the CC billing info. It's not too hard to
  43. write a program that will read that file and write whatever file your CC
  44. submission program requires. One of my programmers has done it twice (my
  45. bank changed programs on me), almost anyone who can knock out code in
  46. 'C', QuickBasic, or whatever can do the job.
