Expired Subscription users to be set back
to having Public Forum access only.
Enter No in this field if you want
Expired Subscription users to retain
access to any Private Forums they may be

@@DUPEH
This Utility function allows you to re-
move duplicate records from the MEMBER
data file.
If you receive a message while rebuild-
ing your MEMBER file that says ^x0ADuplicate^n
^x0AKey rejected for record at offset xxxx^n,
where ^x0Cxxxx^n is a numeric value, then
there are duplicate records in your
MEMBER file and only one of them could
be indexed.
With this Utility, you may remove the
duplicate records.
In order to delete the duplicate record
you must supply the numeric offset that
^x0AGAPREBLD^n displayed in its warning
message. You ^x0Cmust^n supply the exact
number or you may inadvertantly delete
the wrong record.
If GAPREBLD gave duplicate warning
messages for the same offset value, you
need only remove the duplicate record
once. For instance, if GAPREBLD gave 3
separate duplicate key messages with all
3 having the same offset value of 29993,
simply supply the value of 29993 to this
Utility function ONE time and the record
will be correctly deleted.
@@DUPE_OFFSET
Enter the Offset Value that GAPREBLD
displays when reporting a Duplicate
Key error.
@@NET_STATUS
In order for a user to send messages in
the QWK/REP module that do not bear his
or her name, the user must have QWK
Networking Status. Net Status is given
to users who use you as a QWK Networking
HUB. You must answer Yes in this field
so that your Nodes can send and receive
QWK Network messages.
If you are not a HUB for a QWK Network
then leave this field set to No.
@@NET_FORUM
If a user has Net Status, you may
optionally allow that user to have access
to non Echoed Forums.
Normally, a Net Status user will only
have access to those Forums that are
marked as an Echo Mail Forum. This is how
it should be since a non echoed Forum
should not have its messages appearing
on other Boards.
However some users may not want to set
up a separate Net Mail account and call
in twice to obtain Mail from your board.
Before setting this field to Yes and
thereby allowing this user to have
access to non echoed Forums at the same
time he or she is collecting a Network
QWK Packet, be sure that you have 100%
confidence in the user and that the
user will not be placing your non
echoed Forums on his or her board such
that your Forums are set up on this
User's board as Echo Mail Forums.
@@REP_EXPORT
This Report will create a Comma
Delimited File containing all of the
users in your User File (with the
exception of the Sysop).
The name of the file will be USER.EXP.
The USER.EXP file can be imported into
most DataBase programs (Clarion, Dbase,
FoxPro, etc). Any program capable of
reading a file where each record appears
on a single line with strings surrounded
by quotes will be able to read this
Export File.
The fields that are written are defined
as follows:
String : Last Name
String : First Name
String : Address 1
String : Address 2
String : City
String : State
String : Zip
String : Country
String : Home Phone Number
String : Business/Data Phone Number
String : Registration Date
String : Subscription Expiration Date
Integer : Security Level
With the above information, you can
create reports, mailing labels, dunning
letters, or what have you, using your
favorite DataBase Manager. The Security
Level is included as part of the Export
in case you segregate users based upon
level.
@@FIX_SYSOP
The Sysop Record needs to be the first
Record in the User File. In addition, a
flag in that record needs to be set to
signify that it is indeed the Sysop
Record.
If the Sysop Record should become
corrupt, GAP will no longer recognize
you as the Sysop.
This Utility allows you to Fix your
Sysop Record should it become necessary
to do so. You should NOT run this
utility unless absolutely necessary. All
data in the first record (be it yours or
one of your users) will be erased.
@@FIX_SYSOP1
The Sysop Record has just been fixed.
You must now Edit that record and change
the First, Last, and Password fields to
your own personal preference.
Remember that these fields are used ONLY
to log you on from remote.
@@AUTO_DOORWAY
If a user has ANSI capabilities, then
when entering a message using the Visual
Editor, GAP can tell the user's COM
Program to turn DoorWay Mode On. DoorWay
Mode allows the remote caller to use the
cursor keys to move the cursor around
the editor screen.
Some callers use Terminal programs that
do not support the Auto DoorWay ANSI
sequences that GAP sends. Instead of
going into DoorWay mode, they will see
the DoorWay codes on their screen.
If you wish to disable Auto DoorWay mode
for this user answer ^x0CNo^n in this field.
