  60.        Are you tired of old-fashioned banks that keep your money in vaults
  61.      that get eaten away by rust? Our name is Couch One Financial, and at
  62.      COF, we employ the latest furniture technology to keep your money
  63.      secure. We don't believe in using outdated and antiquated methods of
  64.      keeping your money safe. We don't use silly things like vaults and
  65.      silent alarms or laser beams aimed at a theif's genitalia. In our back
  66.      room, we have a vast array of couches, which vary in size, color, and
  67.      upholstery. After making your deposit, the money is then immediately
  68.      given to nine-year-old children. The children will then go in the back
  69.      room and watch television for two hours, after which time, the money
  70.      will  somehow have miraculously become hidden within the couch
  71.      cushions, and the children will have forgotten about it completely --
  72.      whether the deposit was $5.00 or $50,000.00!

  88.      passed The Gas'n'Eat'n'Poop where he bought the condoms, 35% of a
  89.      combination was found on the 75% recycled condoms. We believe that
  90.      money is safer now in couches, provided that people perform their
  91.      sexual acts where God intended them, either in a bed or a secure
  92.      elevator, and never on or near a couch. What would George Washington
  93.      or  Abraham Lincoln say if they were directly underneath such
  94.      activities?"

  96.        The interview was cut short due to sudden precipitation, and
  97.      geologic upheavals in the area.

  99.        The furniture technology that our engineers have developed is
  100.      amazing! We're quite proud of those withdrawn teenagers. Our crack

  487.                             How to Submit an Article
  488.  
  489.      If you wish to submit an article for inclusion in the Fidonews, here
  490.      are some guidelines, if you send it as an attached file; the preferred
  491.      method if you want reasonable control over how the published article
  492.      will appear in the Fidonews:
  493.  
  494.      a) Plain ASCII text. If you could type it on your keyboard, it's
  495.         probably quite OK. No line may be longer than 70 characters.
  496.  
  497.      b) Put a title to the article. Put the title in two times. The first
  498.         time, on the first line, with an * before it. The second time, on
  499.         the second line, without the * and centered. This will help in the
  500.         format since the title with the * is removed and used in the index,
