  1. CLASSIC_COMPUTER RULES

  4. Definition:
  5. The CLASSIC_COMPUTER echo is for conversations concerning the following
  6. topics:
  7. * ANY older model computer.
  8. * Cross or Multi-Platform Computing: Any topic which concerns using two
  9. or more computer types to achieve an end. Such topics include, but
  10. are not limited to:
  11. * Graphic, text or other file conversions between Commodore, IBM,
  12. Amiga, MAC, etc. platforms. Discussions on moving data to or from
  13. other platforms.
  14. * The simultaneous use of different computing platforms when used
  15. together in a networking situation.
  16. * Using one computer platform to emulate another.
  17. Echo Rules:
  18. The CLASSIC_COMPUTER echo has the following rules which all participants
  19. are to read, AND FOLLOW when posting messages.
  20. Off Topic Messages:
  21. When discussions do not directly involve classic computer topics as
  22. covered above), they should be moved to another echo or Netmail. Due
  23. to the low volume of the echo, as long as discussions are about
  24. computers in general, messages will be considered on topic.
  25. Piracy:
  26. Discussion of the illegal acquisition of copyright software is
  27. forbidden and if flagrant may result in loss of access without
  28. warning.
  29. Language:
  30. This echo is open to all gender and age groups. Profanity will not
  31. be tolerated.
  32. Tolerance:
  33. Practice tolerance.
  34. Personal attacks (flames), test messages, or political postings are
  35. not allowed in this conference. Do not respond to such messages in
  36. this echo.
  37. Quoting:
  38. Quote enough so others will know what is being discussed, but do not
  39. quote excessively. Do not quote origin and signature lines.
  40. Tag lines and Signature lines:
  41. Taglines and signatures are NOT to advertise any Commercical
  42. Enterprise. You may include the name of your BBS and Phone Number in
  43. the Signature or tagline.
  44. Control and High-ASCII characters (below CHR(32) and above
  45. CHR(127) are forbidden.
  46. Graphic signatures, borders and other characters which
  47. unnecessarily add to the bulk of your post are discouraged.
  48. Aliases/Handles:
  49. This is a REAL NAME only echo. If an Alias is used, the message must
  50. be signed with your first and surname at the end of the message. The
  51. Alias should be corrected as soon as possible.

  61. itself. This is because not all readers have access to netmail. It
  62. is not intended to insult or embarrass any participant. If you
